Dear _____________________,

Greetings!

"All of us can cooperate as instruments of God for the Care of Creation"- Pope Francis.

This year's celebration of The Season of Creation invites us to listen and respond together to the
cry of Creation. The world will unite in prayer and make actions to protect our common home.
The season "Celebration" begins on 1 September, the World Day of Prayer for the Care of
Creation and ends on 10 October. We also remember St. Francis of Assisi, the patron saint of
Ecology in October O4 as it is the feast day of this saint.

This year's Theme, "Listen to the Voice of Creation." During the Season of Creation, our
common prayer and action can help us listen for the voices of those who are silenced in
protecting the environment Through our prayers may we be able to unite our efforts in restoring
what's lost: Ecosystems, species, the extinction of wildlife resources, and those people who cared
greatly. May we be able to hear the cry of the Earth and the cry of the poor and be moved to do
our share within our lifetime.

May all be inspired to do what our common home ask us in return what Mother Earth has done
for us. And may this season be a way to be grateful for all the things we benefit: the Air, Water,
Sun, Moon, Rivers, Forest, and the rest of the Creation.

See attached proposed activities.

Thank you.

For Creation,

Rev. Fr. Marvin Osmeña
