came from a wealthy family in calamba
Laguna. He was the son of Fancisco
Mercado and Teodora Alonzo. In
addition, his bloodline was also the
product of the mixtures of races.

BLOODLINE
Rizal's Family is considered as the
largest family during that time.
Subsequently their family gained
influence around Calamba. They were
also recognized as the first to
construct the "bahay na bato".
Josephine bracken
Born in Victoria, Hongkong.
She was gave her up for adoption.
She lived with the family of George Taufer around 1893.
Met Rizal at Hong Kong in 1895.
They fell in love and lived together in Dapitan.
She joined the Filipino revolutionaries for a time after Rizal's execution.
She waas summoned before the Spanish governor-general, threatened
with torture and imprisonment if she did not leave the Philippines.
She voluntarily returned to Hong Kong in 1898.
Remarried in Hong Kong to another Filipino named Vicente Abad on
December 15, 1898.
They had a daughter named Dolores.
She died on March 15, 1902 because of tuberculosis and was buried at
the Happy Valley Cemetery.

CONCLUSION
Over the years, Jose Protacio Mercado Y Alonzo Realonda is
known not just because of his heroic deeds, political
writings, background and etc. but also because of his
bloodline. His bloodline shows from his paternal ancestors
down to the next generations. Jose Rizal’s earliest paternal
ancestor was Domingo Lamco and his wife Ines De La Rosa.
They had two children named Josepha Didnio Mercado and
Francisco Chinco Mercado. Francisco and Bernarda Monicha
had a son named Clemente and Juan Mercado. Juan Mercado
and Cirila Alejandro had Francisco Mercado Rizal which was
married Teodora Realonda and they had Jose Rizal Jose Rizal
came from a thirteen-member family consisting of his
parents, Francisco Mercado II and Teodora Alonso
Realonda, and his 10 siblings (9 sisters and one brother).
They were Saturnina Rizal, Paciano Rizal, Narcisa Rizal,
Olympia Rizal, Lucia Rizal, Maria Rizal, Jose Rizal,
Concepcion Rizal, Trinidad Rizal, and lastly the youngest
child, Soledad Rizal. He was the second son and the
seventh child in their family. Along with Chinese ancestry,
the Mercado-Rizal family also contained traces of
Japanese, Spanish, Malay, and even Negrito blood. The
Rizal family became well-known for their wealth
considering the lineage of their family, both maternal and
paternal who gained influence in Calamba. They were also
considered as one of the most respected and largest
families during their time.
SUMMARY
The Rizals have been considered one of the most
prominent and biggest families of their time. It has been
proven over time that this family lives a wealthy and
luxurious life and left a remarkable legacy in history.
As a typical Filipino, Rizal was a product of mixed races
—Chinese, Japanese, Spanish, and Filipino. Along with
him, this bloodline has been extended to his 10 other
siblings. Up to this day, the family Rizal has become one
of the common surnames that many Filipinos have. This
has been a proven fact that Rizals are indeed famous
and are still living lifelong expectations from their
ancestors.
