Stenter guiders

ELFEED KRS 52
Tenter infeed ELFEED KRS 52 is a further
development of KRS 51. KRS 52 uses a
pancake motor with planetary gear. This
means higher dynamics and higher effi-
ciency.

The ELFEED KRS 52 tenter infeed as-

sures that the web is reliably taken up at
the tenter infeed by the clips or pins of
the transport chain. The KRS 52 version
with digital control is designed for high-
speed stenter and drying machines of up
to about 130 m/min.

The left and right edges of the web are

detected by two digital sensors which
send signals to a controller. The controller
triggers a DC actuator. Power transmis-
sion is via pinion and rack. The actuating
speed can be varied manually via a setup
programme.

The consistently digitalised system guar-

antees precision adjustment to the posi-
tion of the guided web and prevents the
rail heads oscillating, thus positively influ-
encing the feeding precision and the ser-
vice life of the mechanical moving parts.
