(I) PROBLEM STATEMENT


The Sales & Inventory management system must take care of sales
information of the organization and its inventory distribution in mall shelves
and warehouses. It maintains the number of items that are added or removed
from the inventory. It helps seller to easily find and restock different products.
The sales person is allowed to update information and view the database.

(II) SOFTWARE REQUIREMENT SPECIFICATION


1.0 INTRODUCTION
SIMS is an interface between the customer - sales person & an
organization - its outlets. It aims at improving the efficiency in maintaining &
retrieving the stocks along with sales prediction.
1.1 PURPOSE
The entire process of Stock management is done in a manual manner.
Considering the fact that the number of customers for purchase is increasing
every year along with increasing outlet chains, a management system is
essential to meet the demand. So, this system uses several programming and
database techniques to ease the work involved in this process.
1.2 SCOPE
• The interface helps to maintain stocks in multiple outlets of an

organization by monitoring the stocks sold and left.

• It has ability to predict future sales from current stats in particular outlet

so that selves are never empty.

• It also stores the location/shelf from where the product can be retrieved

easily in malls/warehouses.

• The software will facilitate communication between outlet, customer,

and the organization via web-application.

 Market Data Analyzer: One who analyze the product sales and
distribute according to predictions.
 Customer: One who takes order of product.
 Sales person: One who maintains the stock details.
 Warehouse Executive: One who maintains supply of stock between
different outlets.
