I. Objective
At the end of the lesson, the children are able to visualizes, represents and counts
numbers from 0 to 50 using a variety of materials and methods.
Materials: Powerpoint slides, hundreds chart, pictures, popsicle sticks, marbles ,bottle
caps, etc.
III. Procedure
Motivation:
Counting Numbers 1 to 50/ 1-100
Presentation:
Let the children answer the given activity.
The teacher will now discuss the lesson.
Call a pupil and let him/her count numbers 1 up to the number he can count.
Generalization:
The numbers 1 -100 can be presented in any objects.
How do you count 1 – 100? (counting by objects and hundreds chart)
Application:
Activity 1: Count the objects and connect the correct abswer.
Activity 2: Write the correct number of the objects.
Activity 3: Color the objects according to the given number.

Directions: Count the objects and encircle the correct answer.

I. Objective
At the end of the lesson, the children are able to visualizes, represents and counts
numbers from 0 to 50 using a variety of materials and methods.
III. Procedure
Motivation: Sing a Song “How many fingers in two Hands?”
Presentation:
Guess and check. Introduce the problem.
Last Saturday, I went to the beach. I gathered different stones. I put them all in a
2 baskets and 3 stones here. Can you give the number of stones I have in all?
Guide pupils in making intelligent guesses. Count the stones to identify who
made the correct guess.
Group the children and give a picture cards. Have them count each object in the set
and report the answer.
Generalization:
How can we identify the correct number of objects in a set?
What do we do to get the correct answer?
Application:
Activity 1: Let the pupils draw objects in the box according to the number
indicated below.
Activity 2: 2 groups – 1st Group will count 1 – 25 while jumping
2nd Group will count 25 – 50 while jumping

Directions: Draw an objects inside the box according to the number asked.

III. Procedure
Motivation: Guessing game about a toy ball
(It is round. It can bounce. It is a toy. What is it?)
Presentation:
a. Show the ball. Ask another pupil to form a new set with one more ball. Repeat the activity until there
are ten balls in the set. How many balls did we add in each set?
b. Show a cup to the class. Have some pupils tell how many cups are there? What will happen to the
cups if we add one more? Add one cup at a time until you have 10 cups. Have several pupils tell how
many cups are there.
Activity – 1
a. Distribute envelopes having 5 sets of pictures to each group.
b. Let them arrange the sets in one – more order.
c. Have one pupil in each group talk about their work.
Activity – 2
Draw the missing set.
Generalization:
How did we construct the sets? (We construct sets in a one – more order.)

Directions: Draw 4 sets showing a one – more order.

1. Construct sets with 1 to 10 in one-less order
2. Identify sets with objects 1 to 10 in one-less order
III. Procedure
Motivation: Pupils sing “Ten Little Children”
Presentation:
1. Show the set of 10 little children. Let the pupils describe the set. Ask a pupil to show a set of 9.
Another pupil shows the next set in one – less order (8). Repeat the activity until there are 10 sets
in all arranged in one – less order.
2. How are the sets arranged?
3. Give sets of pictures to different groups for them to arrange in sets of one-less order.
Activity – 1
Directions: Draw sets in Set B one – less object than sets in Set A.
Generalization:
How did we construct the sets in a one – less order?
Application:

To regroups sets of ones into sets of tens and sets of tens into sets of hundreds using objects
III. Procedure
Motivation: Show the class a set of leaves placed on a “bilao”. Ask them how they can count the
leaves as fast as they can.
Possible answer: We can group the leaves by tens.
Presentation
a. Call on 10 pupils to group the leaves by 10s.
b. Have the 10 pupils call out the number of leaves grouped 10-10-10-10-10 etc.
c. Ask the class: What did they do to come up with 10 leaves in a group?
What did the children do to count up to 100?
d. Have the children put out their counters on the table and count 1 to 10 objects.
e. Let the children group 9 more sets of 10 objects and count by 10s.
f. Have pupils form into groups of three’s or four’s and let them group their objects-ones into tens,
tens into hundreds.

Drill: Naming Numbers – Have pupils pick and name the number from the box. Continue the game
until all the pupils have picked and named the number.
Motivation: Display chart of fruits and have pupils name the fruits that has many seeds. Let the
children show their counter containing 100 mongo seeds.
Presentation
a. Divide the class into five groups. Distribute six counters mongo seeds to each group.
b. Teacher says: Group the counters by 10, ask how many tens?
How many ten are there? How many ones? How many ones there in the ten groups
of 100?
