Environmental Pollution

This document discusses environmental pollution and its causes and effects. It introduces the three main areas of environmental pollution: air, water, and soil. Air pollution is caused by emissions from vehicles, industries, burning of wood and forests. Water pollution results from garbage and chemicals drained from factories and households. Soil pollution is caused by pesticides, fertilizers, soil erosion, and crop residues. The project demonstrates how pollution occurs through models of factories emitting smoke and draining chemicals. Environmental pollution negatively impacts human health, plants, animals and the climate by increasing risks of diseases, global warming, and unstable weather conditions.

Introduction

Environment means the place where we live in and so it is our responsibility from any kind of
destruction. Environmental pollution is one of the greatest problems that human society is facing
today. Air, Water and soil form the three basic areas of environmental pollution. We pollute the
environment by throwing plastic bags, bottle etc on the water. The air pollution is caused by the
unwanted gas on the air like carbon particles, nitrogen dioxide etc from cars, burning of wood,
industries, factories etc. Climate pollution is caused by deforestation, burning of forest, also caused
air pollution. Increasing pollution on the environment is danger to us, if more trees is plant instead
of cutting them. Which will increase oxygen on the air, we should also stop the factories from
polluting the air and water. In this project we see how we pollute the environment.

Materials

Card-board, paper, fabric colours, glue sticks, thermocol, straw, pipe, fevicol.

Construction and Workings

The project will take place on a thermocol. The factories on the back which pollute the air and water,
the factories are made by card board, near the factories storage and office is kept. Some garbage is
thrown near the river from garbage trucks, the smoke that come out of the cars and factories
chimney, some chemicals is also drain from the factories. On the other side some waste drain is also
drain from houses. Some trees are living in nature and some are dry and dead. The air, water and
soil are polluted in this such a way.

Effect

It effects the physical and biological component of ecosystem. Air pollution causes on human, plants
and animal- it causes cancer and genetic mutation and also respiratory ailment such as asthma and
allergic problem. On plants and animals, air pollution effect more or less similar with the human
being. Water borne diseases like diarrhea, typhoid, jaundice and some others diseases. Moreover,
ozone depletion, greens- house gas, global warming all this climate change are a cause of
environmental pollution. Some unstable climate changes are earthquake, famine, smog, carbon
particles, shallow rain or snow, thunder storms, volcanic eruption and avalanches are all because of
climate change. That happened all because of environmental pollution.
Land and soil pollution mainly caused by the use of pesticides, fertilizers, soil erosion and crop
residues. Water gets contaminated easily with any pollutant whether it is human waste or chemical
discharged from factories.

EFFECT ON AIR POLLUTION:

- Effects on Human Health: It can cause many types of diseases like lung cancer, pneumonia, asthma
and many other diseases.

- When burning with coal and petroleum, it releases many toxic substances which effect the air
leading to the cause of climate change or Global warming.

- It also causes a severe effect on plants and Animal

WATER POLLUTION:

- The life of aquatic animals and plants are affected due to the release of same toxic chemical
substances releases from factories and industries.

- Human health can also be affected by consumption of water from oceans and seas as water getting
polluted.

SOIL POLLUTION

- Soil easily get polluted if so, many toxic chemical substances are releases in the environment, this
in turn effect the life of plants, animal and human.
