Scenario
The first thing that needs to be done to start your development work is to create an
application. This exercise helps you to create a Framework based application as well as an
Implementation application.
The Warranty application needs to be developed for an Organization called RGB. But
keeping future updates in mind, the senior system architect suggested creating a
Framework application first and then create an implementation over the Framework.
Use the following credentials to log in to the exercise system:

Your Assignment
Your assignment consists of the following tasks:
Task 1: Create a new application.
Create the Warranty Framework with an organization as RGB. Then create the Warranty
application based on the Warranty Framework.

Detailed Steps
Task 1: Create a new application.
Create a new Framework application.
1. Log into Dev Studio using the Username [email protected] and Password
install123!.
2. Use the Application menu option to build a New Application. In header of Dev Studio,
click Pega Platform > New Application.
3. You see the following screen. Hover over Build from scratch. Click Continue.
4. You will see the following screen with the out-of-the-box themes.
5. Hover over Theme Cosmos (Traditional architecture) and click the Select button.
6. You will see the following screen, enter WarrantyFW as application name and click the
Advanced configuration link.
7. From Application Structure, select Framework.
8. Enter RGB as the Organization name. Product as the Division name, and PUnit as the
Unit name. Click Save.
g. Click Submit.
h. Click Save.
i. Uncheck Force password change on next login.
j. Uncheck Disable Operator.
5. Click Save.
