What does Environmental

Pollution mean?
DATE: 10 TH MARCH 2022
INTRODUCTION
The issue of pollution is one of the most relevant issues that concerns us today
and that has been affecting our environment; moreover, we contribute to pollution,
which could trigger the destruction of our planet earth.

In this research he will talk about pollution; why there is contamination, and
possible solutions. what is sought about this project is to create awareness about
the importance of the environment in society.

As high school students, what our planet is today is concerned about, since as time
progresses it is increasingly devastated because of it, for this reason possible
solutions to this enormous problem are investigated, since if we continue polluting
our planet, in the future when we are adults our environment will be declassed,
even worse than it is today. In the same way, there is serious concern about the
health problems that have developed due to environmental pollution and that at the
time of contamination we ourselves are helping to cause major diseases that can
terribly attack our environment.

What does Environmental Pollution
mean?
Environmental pollution is the introduction into the natural
environment of physical, chemical and biological agents that
alter environmental conditions, causing harmful effects on
the health, well-being and habitability of animal and plant life
in general.
Polluting agents can be chemical substances (pesticides,
herbicides, cyanide, etc.), oil, radiation, polluting gases, urban waste, among other
things. All of them, in general, can cause serious damage to ecosystems, although
the main reason for their production is human activities associated with industry,
commerce, mining, among others.
The environment can be an ecosystem, a place or a living being and the
contaminant can be any chemical or energetic substance.
In addition, the environmental is that belonging to or relative to the environment in
regard to certain conditions. When it is said environmental, this means that it is in
the medium or environment and this expands beyond the air that you breathe.
When in an ecosystem there are substances that have negative or unwanted
effects, we speak of pollutants. If these pollutants keep the habitat of the species in
abnormal conditions, they can cause dire consequences.
There are two fundamental types of emission sources depending on their origin.
One is pollution of natural origin, which is generated by nature, and pollution of
anthropogenic origin, produced by man. Of the latter, most come from industrial,
transport and domestic routes.
Causes and consequences of environmental pollution
Causes
Polluting gas emissions.
waste production
Slash and burn forests
Exploitation of natural resources
Mining
The agriculture
Trade
oil exploitation
Consequences
It produces alterations in ecosystems, which directly affect the living conditions of
animals and plants. It also affects the health of people; it can lead to the extinction
of species. And it contributes to the accentuation of global warming.

Not only the living conditions of living beings is being compromised, but also that of
ourselves. Let's stop consuming, let's start creating awareness.

Types pollution:
The air pollution the most common type of environmental
pollution is air pollution. It happens that the gases that are
normally found in the air increase their concentrations due
to human activity. This gas, usually carbon, alters the
composition of the air causing an imbalance. "Air pollution
in many large cities takes the form of urban smog or the
presence of fine particles in the atmosphere."
Water contamination
There is also water pollution or also called water contamination. "It is when
substances such as microorganisms, chemical products, industrial waste or any
other type of substance are incorporated into the water." This can deteriorate the
state of the water in rivers and seas for the use for which it is intended.

Soil contamination
Finally, soil contamination refers to a type of contamination that affects the
characteristics of the soil. From garbage, household waste and glass to detergents,
pesticides and other chemicals. These damage the richness of our soils, causing
them to lose their properties and become less fertile.
What are the solutions to reduce pollution?
 Use public transportation.
 Buy local products.
 Consume organic products.
 Recycle.
 Reduce the consumption of plastics.
 Reduces the use of water and electricity.
 Choose renewable energies.

Garbage sorting:
Depending on its characteristics and origins, garbage is classified into three large
groups of waste: urban solid waste (RSU), special handling waste (RME) and
zardous waste (RP).
