MODULE 3
POST TEST

Direction: Answer the following questions on one whole sheet of paper.

1. How do you describe art as a cultural document?

Art is a record of culture. This is on the grounds that Art is one of the means for
reporting or communicating to society, customs, thoughts, tradition, ceremonies, and
different highlights of a specific area to share, keep up with, or help us make due or
advance in the present and future. Each area or country, obviously, has its own gallery
where art is put away. Art likewise goes about as a record of occasions and encounters,
which assists us with understanding history better. It conveys a culture's qualities,
convictions, and personality

2. In your opinion, what were art's purposes during the ancient time in Europe?
In ancient times, art was used to illustrate or emphasize the importance and
achievements of people, such as in a poem, painting or sculpture, in my opinion. Much
of Europe's arts and crafts are small sculptures and cave paintings. To emphasize their
understanding of life events. Although most Greek art was created in human images,
the gods themselves were also created in human images. The government has
authorized much of the artwork, to be set aside for public display.

3. Why were ancient arts primarily found in caves? What are their significant values?
Due to the characteristics of the habitat, the paintings are kept in caves that resemble a
cellar, protected from the weather, vandals and even light. Exterior stone surfaces of
ancient art sites are carved or painted. Some have been around for centuries, while
others have been well maintained, repainted, etc. The values were changed at the time
they were painted. The natural preservation of the caves has protected the artwork from
time and nature, allowing modern people to see it, but prehistoric craftsmen painted
more than the caves.
4. What is the importance of stone during the Paleolithic period? Explain.
Paleolithic is gotten from the Greek expressions palaios, and that implies old, and lithos,
and that implies stone, as indicated by what I've perused. During this period, people
used stone to make apparatuses, and stone was ordinarily utilized as a feature of the
actual instrument, for example, while hunting birds and wild creatures. Tools like stone
were utilized to scratch tree and cut tissue and bone. Handles were made from a few of
the pieces. Some were utilized to make lances and bolts for hunting. The expression
"tool" alludes to objects that simplify our life. Present day devices incorporate PCs and
advanced cellphones.

5. What art legacy do you like most during ancient Europe? Explain.
One of the canvases in traditional Greek, the tomb/wall painting, is the art legacy I like
the most. The people here frescoed utilizing water-based or wax paints. It's fantastic the
way that they utilized the materials to save them. It is the place of correspondence
between the residing and the dead for the Egyptians. A portion of the photos, works of
art, or carvings they made in burial chambers were remembered to show signs of life
and follow the embalmed body into eternity. That workmanship custom requests to me
since it portrays pictures from regular day to day existence and is additionally
exceptionally energetic.
