First the calculator has primary functions printed on

the keys themselves and secondary functions printed in

yellow above each key; in order to access the functions
above each key, press the 2ND key(which is the only
yellow key) then the corresponding key.
1-Setting needed decimal points
Use FORMAT but since it is in yellow,
press 2ND then the”.” key(in the last row above which
is FORMAT),you get DEC= so press the number of
decimal points you need, at least 5 then press
ENTER(in the top row, the key itself, printed in white)
since you see ENTER↓↑ on the top of the screen.
Now to exit, press 2ND CPT, right above the 2ND key,
in order to access the QUIT printed in yellow.
2-Powers
For 𝑥 𝑛 , press the value x then the key 𝑦 𝑥 followed by
the power n then finally you should press the = key.
Example: (1.05)3 1 dot key . 0 5 then 𝑦 𝑥 then 3
followed by = so you get 1.15762.
To erase, use the CE|C key in the last row; the CLRWORK: clear work above the CE|C is for
clearing memory stored .
𝑛
For root power √𝑥 , there are two methods:
1
Method 1:𝑥 value then 𝑦 𝑥 then the power n followed by the 𝑥 key, found in the row above the
1
𝑦 𝑥 key, in order to change the power 𝑛 to 𝑛 then finally press the = key.

Method 2: 𝑥 value then 𝑦 𝑥 then the parentheses ( key, found above the top row of number keys,
then press 1 ÷ n then closing parentheses ) key then finally the = key.
1
1 1
Example: (1.05)14 Method 1: 1 . 0 5 𝑦 𝑥 14 𝑥 you get on the screen 0.07143 this is the 14 so
1
press = to get the required answer, you get 1.00349 which is (1.05)14
Method 2: 1 . 0 5 𝑦 𝑥 then ( 1÷14 ) you get on the screen 0.07143 so press = to get the required
answer 1.00349.
𝑏 1
For √𝑥 𝑎 , you can either do first 𝑥 𝑎 then apply power 𝑏 , as explained above, to the result

or as 𝑥 then 𝑦 𝑥 then (a÷ b) then = , as in method 2.

3.ln and exponential
Note that the LN key is in white, found to the left of the 7 key, and the 𝑒 𝑥 is printed in yellow
above it; but in order to find, for example, ln 2, you should press first 2 then the LN key,
You do not need to press =, you directly get 0.69315 the, approximate, value of ln 2.
For 𝑒 2 , for example, first press the value 2 then since the 𝑒 𝑥 is above the LN key, in yellow,
Press 2ND LN in order to access the 𝑒 𝑥 , you get 7.38906, without needing to press =.
4.Entering a negative number
If you wish to enter, for example, −20, then first press 20 followed by the +| − key in the last
row.
