Effect Of Internet On the Aacademic Performance Of

Students

Introduction and Theoretical Framework


Internet is a large computer network linking together millions of smaller computers at
numerous sites in various countries belonging to thousands of business, government,
research, educational and other organizations, which is beneficial for academic institutions.
Have full knowledge of use of internet in academic institution, is beneficial for the
developing countries like Pakistan to grow and attain its economic and social status; through
that country must be fully ready to strengthen and empower its academic performance , both
in science and technological.

Statement of the Problem


In this research paper, we found the statement of the problem is quite easy and useful for
researcher to find and understand the given problem. The problem is that how student will
use internet in academic purpose. Another problem is occurring while finding the usage of
internet on academic performance of the students thought questionnaire.

Purpose of the study


To examine the impacts of internet use on the academic performance of the students. To find
out the ratio of usage of internet among students. To find how students reacts on usage of
internet while filling the questionnaire.

Review of the Literature


The internet has been a very important instrument for facilitating academic activities in
tertiary institutions. The information and communication technology revolution are sweeping
through the world and the gale has even caught up with developing countries. Internet can
broadly be defined as worldwide network of computers communicating via an agreed upon
protocol.
Questionnaire
This survey is conducted by the questionnaire by researchers. In this survey the questionnaire
is used close ended by the researcher. There are two portion of questionnaire A and B. A
portion consists of personal questions and B portion consists of respondent questions. In
questionnaire the researcher give four options and from which the students have to fill them
by ticking. The questions are asked by researcher are like (Name, Age, Gender, Qualification
and Institution) in A portion.

Methodology
A descriptive survey design describes a condition or as it exists naturally without
manipulations. The sample for this research comprises two hundred and fifty students
(respondent) drawn from district Multan from the University of Central Punjab, ISP, BZU
and NCBAE. The researcher used SPSS for analysis the result of this survey.
