I. OBJECTIVES
The learner demonstrates understanding of guidelines and principles in exercise
A. Content Standard
program design to achieve personal fitness.

B. Performance Standard The learners design an individualized exercise program to achieve personal fitness.
C. Learning MELCs: Describes the nature and background of the sport
Competencies/Objectives (PE7GS-Id-5);
Executes the skills involved in the sport. (PE7GS-Id-h-4)

At the end of the lesson the learners will be able to:

Knowledge : Identify the nature and background of Athletics.


Skills : Perform the basic skills in athletics event.
Attitude : Evaluate one’s character to be an athlete.

IV. PROCEDURES
A. Reviewing previous lesson or Before reviewing the previous lesson, the following classroom routine should be
presenting the new lesson observed and done.

4. Energizer- The students will do the “sync claps” GAME.


Directions: This circle exercise is simple, but challenging and very effective
for generating focus and alignment in a group. Participants stand in a circle
and send a clap around the circle. Each clap involves two members of the
group clapping their hands at the same time. The group tries to move the
clap around the circle faster and faster with as much synchronization as
possible. The exercise gets even more challenging when the “double clap” is
introduced and the clap can change direction.

Goal: Generate focus and alignment in a group

Learners’ will also be reminded by the following house/classroom rules in New


Normal to ensures everyone’s safety inside the classroom:
They will be reminded as well with the Activity Rules for you to be aware of your
responsibilities and proper etiquette must be observed especially during class
discussion.

Activities Score Board: This score board will show the points earned by each
group whether the activity is Individual, By Pairs, or Group. The scores will be sum
up at the end and each group will be rewarded according to the points they earned.

rate before and after the exercises. Then, list down the activity you performed from
best up to the least.
