CHILLED WATER AND ICE STORAGE SYSTEMS WERE ALSO ANALYSED, AND OPTIONS DEVELOPED INCLUDED A 12,000 TR
DISTRICT COOLING SCHEME INCLUDING A MAJOR PRIMARY LOW TEMPERATURE CHILLED WATER LOOP AROUND THE SITE.
SECONDARY FEEDS TO VARIOUS BUILDINGS WERE THROUGH PRESSURE-BREAK HEAT EXCHANGERS TO ACCOMMODATE
THE PRESSURE EFFECTS OF THE DIFFERENT BUILDING HEIGHTS.
A SEPARATE CENTRAL PLANT BUILDING OF SOME 20,000M2 WAS REQUIRED TO HOUSE THE MAIN PLANT. THIS WAS TOPPED
WITH A NATURAL DRAFT COOLING TOWER WHICH WAS NEEDED TO REJECT HEAT FROM THE AIR-CONDITIONING SYSTEMS.
VERTICAL, AND MORE IMPORTANTLY, HORIZONTAL TRANSPORTATION SYSTEMS WERE REVIEWED. ISSUES ASSOCIATED
WITH INWARD DELIVERY OF GOOD AND COLLECTION AND DISPOSAL OF REFUSE WERE ANALYSED.
