Corse Title Character Formation, Nationalism and Patriotism
Course Credits 3 units
Corse Component 3 hours every week for 18 weeks/ 54 hours per semester
Course Description The course covers the study of the concepts and principles of nationalism and patriotism specifically the application
of knowledge to law enforcement administration, public safety and criminal justice and embodied in the applicable law

and jurisprudence.
Learning Outcomes At the end of this course, the students should be able to:
Cognitive:
1. Discuss nationalism and patriotism within the context of 21 st century Philippines.
2. Recognize the relevance of ethics, values, nationalism and patriotism in the present conditions of society.
3. Reflection and immersion of nationalism and patriotism in the character of the students.
Affective:
4. Recognize the values existing in the Filipino society and be able to differentiate the desirable from the undesirable
ones.
5. Foster the enhancement of moral character, values, personal discipline, citizenship, vocational efficiency,
nationalism and patriotism among PCCR students.
Psychomotor:
6. Internalize Filipino’s initiative in establishing a sense of nationalism and patriotism.
7. Perform and adapt relevant issues pertaining to character formation, nationalism and patriotism on actual projects
and exercises.

1. The grading system is the CARREON Method. There shall be two (2) grading periods in a regular
semester: Midterm, and Final periods. In each period, a weight of 50% for midterm and 50% for
final is given.
2. There shall be one (1) grading period in summer only final.
