Lesson Plan Grade 5 Science Quarter 1

This document outlines a Grade 5 Science lesson plan on materials that undergo changes. The objectives are for students to identify recyclable materials, design a product out of recyclable solid materials, and recognize the importance of recycling. To engage students, they will participate in an activity to identify proper and improper waste management situations. They will also view an image of unmanaged waste disposal. In the explore section, students will participate in a "Trashion Show" activity where they design fashion items out of recycled materials. They will then answer guide questions about the original purposes of the materials and how reusing them in new ways relates to recycling.
