    The Weekend Program at Happy Hills Resort!

    Friday, July 22nd 2011 - Sunday, July 24th 2011


    The weather is heating up and so is the weekend here at Happy Hills! We have something for everyone in the family planned so read the bulletin carefully so you don't miss a beat! The weekend starts in high gear with our Happy Hills Cinema on Friday. Then Saturday is the day that we have all been waiting and saving for- The Annual Penny Carnival! Family Bingo and the Pancake breakfast finish the weekend off right! On Saturday, July 30th is the Happy Hills annual Flea Market! The sign-up sheet for a table is in the Store, and tables are $5.00 each. Make sure to sign up today before they're all gone! Tickets are available in the Store for the Adult Dance raffle to win a Char-Broil Commercial Series BBQ, available for $2.00 a ticket! Next Tuesday July 26th the Happy Hills Kids Klub will be hosting Happy Hills Olympics for kids aged 7-12. Join the Lifeguards for an evening of competition and excitement and for the chance to show off your skills to fellow campers! GOLF NEWS: Last Saturday July 16th 24 ladies participated in the 9th annual Ladies Golf Fun Night. Many thanks goes out to all the businesses who donated prizes and to the campers who generously donated their empty alcoholic containers for redemption to help support this event as well as the youth golf. Special thanks goes out to Stew Metcalf for organizing this evening as well as to Cathy Metcalf and Dianna Snell for preparing prizes and refreshments for the event. Eunice Brunsdon had the longest putt on hole #4 and Tammy McArdle was closest to the pin on hole #8. Again, many thanks to all those who made this an enjoyable event! Sunday was the Neil Barker Memorial Youth Golf Tournament. A huge thank you goes out to Cathy Breen for organizing this event as well as to all those who donated prizes and their time! Spencer and Emily Davis were the winners of closest to the pin. Longest Drive went to Paul Wilks and Kyle White. Sr. Champions were Cameron Watt and Paul Wilks while Jr. Champions went to Zach Barker and Kyle White. The Most Honest Golfers were Amber Stratton, Hali Foster and Joshua and Riley Kelly. Hall this morning to make Froggie Message holders with Brittany! HAPPY HILLS EXPRESS ACTIVITIES WITH BRITTANY: Brittany is on the hunt around Happy Hills! Join her to search high and low for the tricky items on her scavenger list! Meet at the Rec. Hall this afternoon at 1:00pm. VISIT WITH THE ANIMALS: Farmer Fred has a zoo full of fury friends! Make their day and give them a big hello! Meet Fred at the Petting Zoo gates at 2:15 this afternoon. HAPPY HILLS EXPRESS HAPPY HILLS OUTDOOR CINEMA: Come join us down at the soccer field for a drive-in movie starting at dusk! Brittany and Natalie will have a campfire ready for you to roast marshmallows and hotdogs so bring snacks with you to enjoy! Park your golf cart, bring a chair or sit back and relax on the bleachers provided while you enjoy our family flick! VOLUNTEERS FOR PENNY CARNIVAL: If you signed up to volunteer at the Penny Carnival please meet at the Rec. Hall at 10:30am this morning. Thanks! HAPPY HILLS EXPRESS PENNY CARNIVAL: Hip hip hooray! Today is the day! Gather up all those pennies you have been saving and bring them down to the Rec. Hall because the Penny Carnival is finally here! Penny tickets are on sale for $3.00/sheet or 2 sheets for $5.00, or 5 sheets for $10. Each sheet contains 25 tickets plus one door prize ticket. In addition to this, raffle tickets will be sold for $1.00. All games are a penny, excluding the dunk tank; which you can try your luck at for $0.25 (for 3 balls). The Obstacle Course (all children over 5) is $0.25. Enjoy a tasty hotdog and drink for only $1.50 or a drink, hotdog and a small fry combo for $4.00. Why not try the Family Special of 2 hot dogs, 2 pops and 1 small fry for $5.00! The Penny Carnival will begin at 11:00am and close at 2:00pm. The doors will re-open at 3:00pm to call the prize winners. ALL prizes will be drawn at this time including the raffle. *** PLEASE NOTE YOU MUST BE PRESENT TO WIN ALL PRIZES*** HAPPY HILLS EXPRESS ADULT VOLLEYBALL (16yrs of age and older): Adult Volleyball is both a good break in the day and good exercise! VISIT WITH THE ANIMALS: While you are waiting anxiously to find out if you won a prize at the Penny Carnival, join Farmer Fred for a voyage through the Petting Zoo. Doors will open at 7:30pm and bingo will begin at 8:00pm sharp. Dont forget that this is a family event; therefore smoking and alcohol are strictly prohibited! FREE PANCAKE BREAKFAST: Join us this morning at the Rec. Hall for a breakfast of champions! No one makes pancakes like Happy Hills does, so stop by this morning between 8:30am and 10:00am for delicious pancakes. Coffee and juice will be provided, you will need to bring your own plate, cutlery and cup. We look forward to seeing you there! BAKE SALE: There will be a bake sale this morning selling a little bit of everything! Be sure to stop by and grab a delicious after pancake breakfast snack! The Bake Sale will be set up across from the Rec. Hall by the trailer compound. ACTIVITIES WITH JACQUELINE: After enjoying a delicious pancake breakfast, Jacqueline will be playing Bocce Ball at the Rec. Hall! Meet her this morning at 10:00am to show off your bocce skills!

Children under the age of 6 are prohibited from entering the hot tubs. On the same note, children are not allowed in the Adult Hot Tub at anytime. If you have questions or concerns regarding the pool or hot tubs, the office will be happy to address them. Thank you!
