Prepositions

A preposition, as its name implies, has a position before a pronoun or a noun unless, it ends the
sentence. It shows in what relation the thing denoted by it stands in regard to something else.

1. There is a book on the table. (joins a Noun to noun)


2. Ravi is fond of trekking. (joins a noun to adjective)
3. The cat jumped off the chair. (joins a noun to verb)
Common prepositions:
At, on, in, into, under, over, beside, behind, beyond, of, off, with, for, up, about, to,
between, among, from
