The charts display data on cinema markets, overseas travel, and work performance factors. The line graph shows that while visits to the UK gradually increased, overseas travel by UK residents sharply increased from 1984 onward. The bar charts show that France and Spain were the most visited countries by UK citizens in 1999 and that US films dominated both the UK and Australian cinema markets in 2001.

The line graph displays the number of UK people visiting other countries and the number travellers

coming to UK during the period of 1979 to 1999, and the the bar graph describe the most favorite
countries visited by the British.

Generally, the first graph presents the increasing number of people going out and coming to UK
where the proportion of UK people going to other countries increased significanty while the number
of visitors who visited UK raised gradually. The second graph, on the other hand, depicts that France
is the country that was mostly visited by UK people.

From the line graph, it can be seen that the figures of both overseas visits by the British and vists to
UK by foreign travellers started from the similar numbers, around 10 millions. However in 1984, the
number of UK residents travelling to other countries increased sharply in comparison to the number
of they who travelled to UK.

Related to the five countries mostly visited by the British in 1999 shown by the bar charts, France
and Spain, visited by more 7 millions UK citiezens, were at the top followed by USA, Spain, and
Turkey.

The charts below depicts the portion of the cinema market and cinema admission in UK and
Australia. The description of cinema market share displayed in both countries is focused in the year
of 2001 while the presentation of the two countries’ cinema admission ranged from 1976 to 2006.

In the general description, the two charts show similar trends in both countries in which chart A
shows that movies produced by one country are the most dominant in both UK and Australia and
chart B presents dynamic curves related to the cinema admission in both countries.

The former chart, specifically, shows us that the US films were the most favorite films among British
and Australians. The US and the later chart explains that in terms of cinema admissions, both
countries experienced downturn in 1985 and upturn around 2000.
The graph displays the survey of factors in connection with factors contributing to work
performance, and it covered two groups of workers: 18 to 30 years old and 4.

In overall description, the chart shows varied opinions related to factors determining working
performance. There are some factors in which both young workers and senior workers agree, but
there are several factors where both group of workers have different opinions.

The senior employees, particularly, emphasised factors such as personal development opportunities,
more relaxed working environment, promotion prospects, job security are the important reasons
why they can do better in their job. The junior employees, on the other hand, did not regard the
previous factors as the key factor for their working performance.

The opinions related to the four aforementioned factors are significantly different. The number of
the young workers who seriously saw the four factors , furthermore, was only less than 60% while
the senior ones stating that the four factors are important are around 80%.
There are actually some beneficial effects if humans can live longer, but something that we must
consider is that there must be several consequences for such condition.

The other positive effect in having longer life up to 150 years is related to happiness level in family.
Most of people definitely prefer to have complete family members particularly parents or
grandparents. If surveyed, moreover, children or grandchildren certainly feel happier if they can see
their father, mother, grandfather, or grandmother in longer time.
The following bar graphs present the description of world iliteracy rates according to areas and
genders in 2000.

Based on the chart, generally developing countries have more problems pertaining to ability to read
in which females are more iliterate than males.

Related to the areas, the chart shows that developing countries in three regions: South Asia, Arab
States, and Sub-Sahara Africa are the ones badly needed for literacy education since the rate cleary
shows that most people living in those aforementioned regions can’t read and write ( > 40 points) in
comparison to the countries in East Asia/Oceania, Latin/Carribean regions or develop countries.

In connection to gender, the graph, besides showing that the females have more literacy problems
than males, also clearly describes that there is a significant gap between the number of females and
males suffering iliteracy particularly in the South Asia, Arab States, and Sub-Sahara Africa
(approximately 20 points). This gap, however, is significantly reduced in East Asia/Oceania,
Latin/Carribean, and developed countries.
Music certainly brings a lot of enjoyment, and universally people around the world agree this
statement. However, when it is related to uniting people from different cultures and ages, there
some reasons that support this idea and there several facts which challenge such idea.

Two obvious supporting causes that music is able to bring us together without considering our
different cultures and ages are the lyrics and the beauty of the sound. It is common for everyone
that they will be happy and motivated if they listen to a song with a good lyric and a beautiful sound.
The songs “We are the world” that has a nice lyric and sung beautifully certainly bring positive effect
to gather people around the world to conduct a global social act. The song “Heal the world” is also
another example how this song united countries to contribute in world piece.

The challenging facts, on the other hand, are the performer and the context where the music itself is
performed. All things related to the music performer toghther the setting in which it is performed
can definitely separate people. The song which is created by Ku Klux Klan and played in the southern
part of USA will obviously not be listened by black communities in the northen part of America.
Another example is songs created for spiritual purposes. These songs, though their lyrics may have
universal meanings, are still sung in limited community.

In conclusion, although there some facts music, especially songs, can separate people. I still
personally believe that music brings more unity so that it can bring people across cultures and ages.
