HISTORY AND DEVELOPMENT OF THE DAIRY

Sudama Dairy Pvt. Ltd. Was established in 26th April 2013


under Company act 1956 it was started as Sudama chilling plant.

As now as it is it was successful in past. By establishment of This plant, it was
really useful for the people of saurashtra.

On Sudama Dairy old name is Sudama chilling plant and now


Days converted into Sudama Dairy Ltd.

In beginning it just send milk to Amul Dairy Anand. In

Starting the investment of the firm was about 1.50(one crore fifty lakh).

Sudama Dairy is now days highly milk produce in a

Saurashtra. Sudama Dairy is about 90000 to 120000Lt r. Per day produce milk.

Sudama Dairy Ltd. Cancelled as a small-scale Industry. In Developing of it there is


no failure of this plant. There was smooth running in development procedure. The
market of this unit was all over saurashtra.

Sudama dairy Pvt. Ltd. Has two shifts.

 Morning shift
 Night shift

Sudama DairyPVT.LTD. is 24*7*365 days considering So two


shift is using. In morning shift 8am to 6pm and night shift 10 pm to 6am so time
keeping system structure is very well. So Sudama dairy believe in time keeping
system.

In morning shift and night shift employees are different so work


burden is very less. So, every employee is doing best work and company is easily
achieving the goal.

(PDCMPUL) is a Co-Operative Society registered under Section 9 of Gujarat
Cooperative Societies Act, 1961.

Shree Porbandar District Co-Operative Milk Producers’


Union Limited (PDCMPUL) is a member union of the Gujarat Co-operative Milk
Marketing Federation (GCMMF) Ltd, better known as AMUL (An and Milk
Union Ltd); With 15+ Bulk Milk Cooling Units (BMCU).

AMUL is a vibrant organization that serves consumers


not only of Porbandar but also rural areas of Porbandar. Apart from other districts
of Gujarat, its consumer is spread in other states of India as well that is backed by
the products of global standards under AMUL brand.

The organization has commenced its business in full fledge from the F.Y. 2014-15
onwards. In the very first year of business, SPDCMPUL has achieved the turnover
of near about Rs.100 cores. The same is reached to Rs.800.00 cores approx. till
FY-2017-18.

Number of societies dealing with PDCMPUL in F.Y.


2014-15 was 198 and same has been increased to 460 in the F.Y. 2015-16 and
further increased to 800+ till FY-2017-18.

 Introduction:

“HUAMN RESOURSCE MANAGEMENT is the planning, organizing,


directing and controlling of the procurement, development, compensation,
integration, maintenance and separation of human resource to the end that
individual, organizational and societal objective are accomplished.”

HRM includes practice and procedure through which human resource are
managed towards the attainment of individual Social and Organizational goals.

Human Resource Management (HRM) is an operation in companies


designed to maximize employee performance in order to meet the employer's
strategic goals and objectives. More precisely, HRM focuses on management of
people within companies, emphasizing on policies and systems.

In short, HRM is the process of recruiting, selecting employees, providing


proper orientation and induction, imparting proper training and developing skills.

HRM also includes employee assessment like performance appraisal,


facilitating proper compensation and benefits, encouragement, maintaining proper
relations with labour and with trade unions, and taking care of employee safety,
welfare and health by complying with labour laws of the state or country
concerned.

 Concept:

“Employee satisfaction” is the term used to describe whether employees are


happy and fulfilling their desires and needs at work. Many measures purport that
employee satisfaction is a factor in employee motivation, employee goal
achievement, and positive employee morale in the workplace.

Job satisfaction describes how much extent an individual is pleased,


comfortable of satisfied with his or her job. It is a pleasurable or positive emotional
state resulting from the appraisal of once job or job experience.

 6 Ways to Improve Employee Satisfaction:

In Sudama dairy management are having some ways to improve employee’s


satisfaction .company’s HR manager Dipali mavani communicates to the
employees on regular basis. by her constant attention employees having zero level
dispute, by which employee gets motivated and gives qualitative work to the
organization .

i. Realistic expectation

In Sudama dairys, company is fulfilling the expectations of the employees.


And now they are trying to become more familiar to them so that they can motivate
them and boost their talent and skills. Honest and frank discussions expectation
will go a long way in this regard. Company’s goals are achieved with keeping their
employees happy with their work and atmosphere.

ii. Performance appraisal

Sudama dairys give us rewarding against their hard work .one of the easiest
and cheapest ways to improve employee happiness. No one wants to feel like their
efforts aren’t being recognised so praise the employees when they are working
hard and going the extra mile.

iii. Long term goal

Sudama dairy instead of looking at “quick wins” keep in mind the long term
strategies goals of the company and make sure all employees are on the same page.
Working towards a common goal and mission is being an extremely good
motivator.

iv. Communication

A lack of communication is the most frequent cause of workplace


frustration. Work on creating an open, honest, communicative culture where the
team is comfortable communicating their own thoughts. In company
communication is must and employee and employer have the communication
between them so they can work efficiently and have a good co-ordination.

v. Employee well- being

The company genuinely concern about the employees well being. Mental
well being is often overlooked but an essential part of job satisfaction. The
company is creating a calm anxiety free work environment which helps get the best
out of the employees.

vi. Learning opportunities

Employee growth is one the most important aspects of engagement. Once


employees feel like they have stagnated they will eventually get bored and look
elsewhere for stimulation and new challenges. Keep star talent on board by
offering them opportunities to grow in the carer and company. This could include
training, a challenging promotion or a learning budget that allows employees to
pursue outside interests.

Conclusion:

Above is the proper discussion about how to improve the employee


satisfaction along with the detailed explanation. There are different approaches to
improve employee satisfaction like realistic expectation, performance appraisal
employee well being. Which helps to improve employee satisfaction.

1) House facilities:

In Sudama dairys, housing facilities are given to the employees where they
have shelter. Company provides a room for 4-5 employees and a space for cooking
by themselves and also facility of bathroom and toilet. Male and female both are
working there and have separate area of living. Employees who are living far from
the company get these facilities. Also provide sweepers to them.

2) Salaries:

The company provides weekly based salary to the labours and monthly
based salary to the employees (office staff). Manufacturing process, which is very
tough job to work for which the workers get more salaries than the workers who
are in packaging. Incentives are also provided to them as the employees give their
best and increase their ability to work. Pre-paid salary are also provided to the
employees if there any emergence.

3) Leave facilities:

In a week company gives one day of to the employees. Medical or maternity


leave as required or suggested by the doctor are provided to the employees of the
company. In festivals also they got day off. If any emergency occurs company
gives day off to the employees and it doesn’t affect on their salaries.

4) Medical facility:

Health facilities are places that provide health care. They include hospitals,
clinics, outpatients care centres, and specialized care centres, such as birthing
centres and psychiatric care centres. When you choose health facility, you might
want to consider.

5) Other facilities:

Company provides gifts like sweets in diwali, clothes in holi and other many
things are given occasionally.

Company organizes tours to the employees and so they can take refreshment
from the daily working life. Tours in cities like Abu-Ambaji and Rajasthan.

Incentives are also given to the employees. There are 2 types of incentives:

1. Financial incentives: The Company gives some additional amount of money as


appreciation to the employees by their performance gets better.

2. Non-financial incentives: The Company gives appreciation to the employees by


giving those awards and a small gift as the employees gives their best performance.

6) Training:

A training program allows you to strengthen those skills that each employee
needs to improve. A development program brings all employees to a higher level
so they all have similar skills and knowledge. This helps reduce any weak links
within the company who rely heavily on others to complete basic work tasks.

7) Friendly environment work:

The company runs like a well-oiled machine because the company has
created positive relationships with them. There are 7 tips that help to create
friendly environment:

• Positive attitude towards employees

• Treat every employee with respect

• Practice active listening

• Connect on a personal level

• Develop relationships outside of work

8) Compensations:

In Sudama dairy compensation is given to the employee when they got


injured while working on machineries or in the factory. In recent time a case of an
accident of worker by machinery was occurred in the company. The employee was
supervising the machinery employee got injured and his one finger was cut. As
compensation he got regular salary while he was under treatment of his finger.

Conclusion:

From the above description we have conclude that the company is providing
different types of facilities to their employees like :- salaries at time, different
welfare facilities to improve the standard of living of the employees. So, the happy
employees work in the comfortable and productive working environment. With the
help of these facilities company can achieve its targeted goal.

15% of the employees and the employees who can feel the training facilities

Overall job satisfaction of the company means the whole organizational

Future plans

Sudama dairy porbandar Future plans are proposed for increasing more
BMC units so as to cover other geographical areas.

Further the organization is also planning for expansion of the existing


units and setting up of processing plant thereby increasing the milk procurement,
processing capacity and to diversify the product range that can be produced from
Milk.

Conclusion

I took a visit of Sudama co-operative firm after visiting the Different


department I have estimated that the company has fantastic Higher technology.
The company has also automatic machinery and all The staff has a good support
and very nice co-operation among them.

During my training, I got very good experience and cooperation with staff. I
got the information about the sudama dairy PVT.LTD. from prof. abhishek abhani
who gives guidance and share has wonderful ideas to make a project report and
thankful to them for help me in my report.

Suggestion

 The recruitment and selection procedure should not be too lengthy and time
consuming and costly.
 Provide training to employees so that they get better knowledge, skills and
attitudes and so the firm can reduce their employee’s turnover ratio.
 Company should amend some parts of their HR policies for better
effectiveness and maintain their human resources.
