1. What are the different types of ecosystem?
 Tropical Rainforest
 Temperate Forest
 Coniferous Forest
 Tropical Grassland

PART 2. EXTEND
1. How do plants and animals contribute to the ecosystem?
A food chain, which includes plants and animals, is what keeps an ecosystem alive. Animals and plants, in
addition to influencing one another, have an impact on the rest of the environment. Trees, for example,
generate oxygen and reduce forest temperatures. This allows creatures, including people, to survive in the
environment comfortably even during hot months. Every animal in the ecosystem plays an important part in
the overall health of the planet. If one species becomes extinct as a result of an imbalance, it can have far-
reaching consequences for the remainder of the chain. Even a little bee, for example, is an important worker
in nature's industry.

2. Why does over population affects ecosystem?

One of the effects of overpopulation on ecosystem is Increased habitat loss. This one is very
straightforward, the more humans there are on the planet, the less room there is for any other species to
exist. Human overpopulation is a primary cause of environmental destruction, including rainforests, coral
reefs, wetlands, and Arctic ice.

3. In your own opinion, what is the major role of plants and animals to the ecosystem?
For me the one major role of plants and animals that they are part of a food chain, which keeps an
ecosystem alive. Carnivores eat herbivores, which eat plants. When animals die, they decompose into the
soil. Their nitrogen transforms into nitrate, which plants require for growth. Herbivores eat these plants,
and the cycle starts again.
