The mysterious friend
‘Whoosh Whoosh’Did you hear that? Yes your
right, it was the wind. It all started like this. One sunny Tuesday Myra rushed down the stairs of her building the sun was shining brightly. Myra was down waiting for her friends to arrive But nobody came, she thought to go and swing at the park. She challenged herself to run and reach there in a few minutes. She reached huffing and puffing, she looked up and saw nobody was there at the park she thought to go and swing for some time.’Up up and away’ Myra shouted she was high in the sky swinging furiously. After some time Myra got bored of swinging alone she got off the swing and went to the bike stand [The bike stand was where all the bikes were parked]. Myra walked to her parking station but found nothing. Myra was shocked but now was not the time, the wind started blowing the trees were swaying furiously as if they were to fall. Myra knew it would get worse she ran as fast as her legs could take her. She reached just in time cause now the rain too had started. She thought it would be best to talk to her friend Emma about her bike. She directly looked at the time ‘it’s only 4:00, Emma only comes back at 5:00 from karate class’ and I am stuck at home’she thought out loudly. Myra went and read for some time, time passed away after some time thought it would be best to pick Emma up, that way she could also discuss it on the way home.[Emma lived in the same building as Myra]The wind had cooled down and so had the sun come out. She went down the stairs, but this time it felt different, it felt cooler. Myra went walking down the street she passed the grocery store and the game store, then reached the karate studio. She sat on the bench and waited for Emma to come out but she didn't wait for long. Myra was just going to sit on the bench outside the class just then something caught her eye first, she thought it was just the sun's rays but it was shaped like a bike. She went closer walking quietly when she reached she was astonished. It was her bike standing in the karate studio’s parking lot. She suddenly heard footsteps approaching she hid behind a trash can and froze, it was Emma. Myra wished she could ask Emma what was going on but she didn't she just sat there frozen, wondering what was going to happen next. What happened next was very simple, first Emma took her cycle and headed towards home Myra also rushed back home trying to stay hidden She was furious. She went back home and sat there, then somebody knocked ‘are you in there?’ she said ‘Emma if it is you then go away, please’ ‘you took my bike without informing me’ Myra shouted. She sounded furious Emma thought it would be better to talk to her later. The next morning Myra opened the door and found an envelope it was from Emma it read dear Myra, I am so sorry to take your bike without informing you, it was just I was getting late to reach class and so I had to borrow your bike. I did not have time to tell you I’m sorry. Hope to see you down. From Emma Myra did not wait a minute more she just went down and there was Emma. ‘Emma I'm so sorry’ gasped Myra ‘I am too’ answered Emma. They both hugged ‘Let's swing’ said Emma ‘Race you’ answered Myra. They happily ran towards the park
