Mobile-Based Assistant

Introduction:

Transportation online is one of the newest service innovation in m-commerce. Online


transportation service or ride-sharing is an individual transportation services where a customer can
order a ride through mobile application and the driver can respond the order through the apps. It
provides several benefits such as driver and customer can know each other’s location accurately,
customer can see the driver and vehicle information, and customer can easily find transportation to
commute to other places(farim,2016).

the development of this mobile web based application is to help to find and search for
passengers easily, especially for passengers who are in a hurry and need to avoid traffic. In the
current situation, face to face many passengers are waiting in their area. However, some people
are struggling in commuting because of overloaded passengers in tricycles, jeeps, or any other
transport services. Some are complaining due to the high fares. Moreover, some people may
want their items delivered but due to the lack of time and being far from their shipping areas ,
they are not able to.

Therefore, the purpose of this study is to meet and help public transport service
providers who are looking for passengers quickly by sending them passenger route alert
notifications and helping them save on gas during servicing. This development will provide route
locations which will help to locate easily.

The chosen topic we choose is base on our client . According to Mr Trophy sanchez they uses business
suite app like messenger on their transport services.

base on their needs they want to show a location of a passenger and where they are coming from.

Therefore, The purpose of this study is to providing their needs . By developing web mobile
application which will help for easily servicing. And to meet and help the client the client needs for their
transport services where a customer can order a ride through mobile application and the driver can
respond the order through the mobile apps. It provides several benefits such as driver and customer can
know each other’s location accurately, customer can see the driver and vehicle information, and
customer can easily find transportation to commute to other places.

Statement of the Problem:


This study aims to determine the potential of:
1. Having a hard time getting enough passenger
2. Having a hard time to figure out where the passenger location and their
routes
3. Having a hard time on estimating total passenger fare depending on their
distance

The main objective of this study is to develop A Mobile Route


Travel Assistant for Public Transport Service in Calapan with Mapping
Integration and Fare guide Monitoring System. Specifically, it was aimed to address
the following concerns:

1. To easily navigate passenger in one tap


2. To provide a detailed map of every town of Oriental Mindoro with
proper labels and easily to see the route of the passenger destination
3. Automatic computation

Scope and Limitation:


The study entitled “A Mobile Route Travel Assistant for Public Transport
Service in Calapan with Mapping Integration and Fare guide Monitoring
System”
This system will be helpful for commuters who want to arrive at their
destination faster and for those who need to make deliveries around Calapan
City. By that passenger need to register to the system and they need to confirm
details via sms

Review Related Literatures and System:


This chapter presents information about the existing systems
which served as reference in the development of the system.
A. Online Transportation Services in Indonesia

According to Shilvia L. Br. Silalahi, Putu W. Handayani, Qorib Munajat (2017 ) Online
transportation focusing on the technology aspect. The measurement developed from previous
related studies includes three dimensions which are service quality, information quality, and
system quality. The research approach is quantitative approach with Entropy technique for data
analysis and GO-JEK as case study. The number of respondents for this study is 1,670. The
analysis shows that there are 20 criteria that can be used to measure online transportation
service quality. From the entropy analysis, each criterion was weighted to rank the quality of the
services relatively to each other. It was found that the best three aspects for GO-JEK online
transportation services are perceived cognitive, ease of use, and perceived website
innovativeness. Meanwhile, the three lowest criteria are compensation, trust and perceived risk.
