Internetworking Security (IT202) Assignment 2

This document provides an assignment on analyzing SSL and TLS encryption. It asks students to: 1) Compare and contrast the similarities and differences between SSL and TLS. 2) Analyze a Wireshark capture of an SSL session including identifying the client and server IP addresses, drawing the handshake process, and determining the cryptography used. 3) Explain how a web server obtains an SSL certificate and what can cause a packet to show an 'Alert' in Wireshark. 4) Describe three vulnerabilities of the system and how to manage them, and capture their own SSL session in Wireshark.
