6. A train travels 240 kilometers at a uniform speed. If the speed has been 8 km / hr more, it would have
taken 1 hour less for the same journey. Find the speed of the train.

III Answer the following questions (1  3 = 3)


7. 5 men and 3 women can complete a work in 16 days, whereas 3 men and 6 women can complete the
same work in 16 days. In how many days the same work can be completed by 5men and 6 women
together?

IV Answer the following questions (1  4 = 4)


8. Two water taps can together fill a tank in 4 hours and 48 minutes. Larger pipe takes 4 hours less than the
smaller pipe to fill the pipe, separately. Find the time taken by each pipe to fill the tank separately.
