This argumentative essay discusses whether elections should be decided by popular vote. It notes that popular votes count all first-round votes rather than just elected voters. Do you believe that elections should be decided by
the popular vote?

A popular vote, is an indirect election, in the total of votes received in the first-phase election,
as opposed to the votes cast by those elected to take part in the final election. In other
countries like for example America has different type of popular voting ad far more different in
our country, here in the Philippines, each voter is entitled to one vote each for the duration of
the election. The voter may split their ticket. The candidate with the most votes wins the
position; there is no run-off election, and the president and vice president may come from
different parties. But before we decide on votes for our candidates, we have to ensure that the
person we are voting is a nice person and has sharp skills when it comes to making decision.
Deciding base on popularity vote or their popularity, a lot of situations.
Like for example not running a background check on that certain candidate, and only biased on
that certain candidate, and voting for them without knowing they have a criminal record, or
they got away on a serious situation that they got into and never got arrested, there is a lot of
‘what if’ questions that are present, and there is one more, what if that person only cheated?
What if they we’re never well-educated, and only use the presidential election to gain more
fame or more money? Pretty dumb am I right? Opinions do matter, actually when it comes in
this type of situation, and we have a freedom to vote who ever we want and we should use that
to vote wisely, more clever and think about the people surrounding you and not just yourself
your thinking about, and think about the possible things that could happen if you voted for that
certain candidate.
Now, we should say that we need to vote wisely and make decisions wisely, and we live in a
cruel world so we need a proper ruler that can lead the country wisely and accordingly.
More situations why letting the popular vote should not be the absolute decision. Let’s say... a
public voting session with 5 people.
Person 1 is confident that x is the answer, but in reality that person knows almost nothing and
is unsure if that's the answer ( but if they recite it with pride, they won’t get any emotional
damage if they lose ).
Person 2 is educated in this field of what's best to choose, and knows that y is the answer but
they don’t say it as confident as person 1. Person 3 is person 1's friend, so they decide to follow
person 1.
And with person 3 following person 1, 4 and 5 follow person 1. The final ratio of this voting is
4:1, wrong! The example above shows that, that people who aren't educated about a topic can
still vote in it.
A Person who is biased towards a group of people/individual who is in a voting party, may want
to leave that party or join them because of it (depending on their view of that group/individual)
Examples are: People not wanting to leave their friend in the dark, An individual instinctively
wanting to join a bigger group, or a celebrity figure telling you why, you should join the z group.
