ABB achieve their main objective for their quality initiative by applying the step-by-step guide of
organizations in ISO 9000 certification by equipping their employees with the skills and ability to
generate process improvements to ensure on-time, on-cost, and on-quality delivery. Also, create a
culture of continuous improvement within ABB through the widespread use of an improved system.

2. What is the importance of ISO 9000 certification in integrating quality in the business process
of ABB?

The importance of ISO 9000 is the importance of quality. ABB companies offer products and services,
but it is those companies who put out the best products and services efficiently that succeed. With
ISO 9000, an organization can identify the root of the problem, and therefore find a solution. By
improving efficiency, profit can be maximized.ISO 9000 is a standard created to make the attainment
of quality, consistent products easier by providing specific steps for development of an organization’s
quality management system. This quality management system is meant to monitor the progress of a
product or service as it goes through each stage of production.
