- Most of the main roads are straight and have a good 360o view.
RECOMMENDATIONS
- Curved mirrors can be installed at junctions.
VISIBILITY
- The main streets have a number of shops hence it is visible
- Areas adjacent to Gujarati street are more visible
- The less visible areas are mostly the narrow lanes
- Majority of the areas are visible
PEOPLE
- A number of shops and street vendors can be found in Mattancherry, as a
result most of the places have a minimum number of people through out
- That being the case places are either crowded or with a minimum number of
people
- Due to the presence of people we feel secured but crowding of people may
cause discomfort

3D PRINTING WORKSHOP REPORT
INTRODUCTION
As a part of Professional skill enhancement, a session on ‘An introduction to 3D printing’ was comducted on 24th August 2022. The
one day workshop was curated by Ar. Liya Sunny Anthraper.
Rhinoceros is a commercial 3D computer graphics and computer-aided design (CAD) application software. Grasshopper is a visual
programming language and environment that runs within the Rhinoceros 3D computer-aided design (CAD) application. Different
tools related to the software was introduced to the students. Pufferfish, a plugin was also introduced. The culmination of one day
workshop was by 3D printing one of the model designed by the students.
3D printing, also called additive manufacturing, is a process that produces objects by adding material in layers that correspond to
successive cross-sections of a 3D model. Plastics and metal alloys are the most commonly used materials for 3D printing,
Ar. Liya did a presentation about Digital architecture and robotic fabrication The presentation included her thesis work as well as
other works that she learned from ETH Zurich. Her main focus is on advancing the construction techniques and materials.
