Investigatory Project Class XI

Investigatory project is an important part of CBSE practical course work. There


are following important points that a student need to follow in their project
work.
1. Choose any investigatory project that is either suggested by CBSE in
their latest syllabus or related to your syllabus.
2. Plastic file/folder is not allowed. Use Cardboard file/folder only (you
may spiral bind it).
3. Use A4 size paper of any GSM.
4. Project should have at least 15 hand written pages.
5. The Pages include with their sequence will be as follows
• Cover page [Consist of school’s name, logo (use given logo in
format), title of your project, class, submitted by and submitted to]
• Certificate page [Included with this document]
• Acknowledgement/Preface
• Table of contents [S. No., Topic, Page No.]
• Contents [Aim, Apparatus required, Elaborative theory,
Diagram(s), Observation(s), Calculation, Result, Variation with
standard result (if any), Graph (s) (if any), Precautions, Source(s)
of error]
• Photo Gallery [2 or 3 photos consist of you/your team performing
project and arrangement of apparatus]
• Reference/Citation [Do not cite Wikipedia or other unreliable
sources]
6. In case of any discrepancy/doubts, meet you class teacher/HOD.

List of suggested investigatory projects:

7. To study the variation in frequency and pitch of various No Lab

8. To study the rate of evaporation of same volume of No Lab
