DBQ Rubric

This rubric evaluates student responses to document-based questions on four levels from exceeds standard to below standard. It assesses whether the student understands and answers the question, uses evidence from the provided documents, develops their ideas, organizes their response, expresses their ideas clearly, and has good grammar, punctuation and spelling. The highest level response thoroughly answers the question, uses accurate evidence from at least three documents, develops ideas with analysis and explanations, has a clear introduction, body and conclusion, and expresses ideas clearly.
