‘We all learn how to use and take care of the complex equipment we use, so we have many
classes. These happen in a classroom, in machines that are a bit like real spaceships, and in the
swimming pool. The swimming pool is very similar to being in space because you weigh much

forget what day it is.

ORIGINAL AUDIO SCRIPT:
MC: Hello and welcome to another Here to help on Radio 8. Whether you work or go to school,
many of us get the Sunday blues - the bad feeling we get when we know we have to go back to
work or school the next day. So, in today’s program, we want your tips on what you do to feel
good on Sundays. Please phone us, and give us your ideas.
MC: So, welcome to our first caller, Maggie. Hi Maggie. What do you do on Sundays to stop
yourself thinking about work or school?
Maggie: Well, I don’t like my job very much, so I don’t want Sunday to end, because Monday
comes after Sunday. So I always do something really boring on Sundays.
Maggie: Because then time goes really slowly, and Sunday lasts a long time.
Heston: My tip is to listen to really sad music. You feel down, but when you finish it, you think
life isn’t so bad, so you feel happy again.
MC: Really?
Findlay: Hi, I don’t think music works. So, when I feel blue about Monday mornings, I play
computer games. And then I just forget what day it is. Or I go out and do some shopping.
Iliana: Hi. The best thing is to meet with friends. Not chatting on the computer though, I mean
face-to-face. You can play sports together, or just go to the shopping mall, not to buy stuff, but
just because it’s always interesting to watch the world go by.
MC: Thanks, Iliana. So, some great ideas. Which one do you want to try? Or many you can think
of your own.
