Variable Separable

1) The document describes how to solve differential equations when the variables are separable. It provides the general process of separating the variables, integrating both sides term by term, and obtaining the solution. 2) Ten examples of separable differential equations are worked out step-by-step. The solutions obtained include expressions involving exponential, logarithmic, inverse trigonometric and other standard functions. 3) Separating the variables, integrating both sides, and applying the appropriate formulas allows one to solve separable differential equations and obtain the general solution.

VARIABLE SEPARABLE

If the equation is in the form 𝑀 (𝑥, 𝑦)𝑑𝑥 + 𝑁 (𝑥, 𝑦)𝑑𝑦 = 0 can be put in the form
𝑁(𝑦)𝑑𝑦 = 𝑀 (𝑥 )𝑑𝑥 , so that the coefficient of dx involves x and that of dy involves y, the
variable are said to be separable and the solution is obtained by integrating term by term,
the equation in which the variables have been separated.

Obtain the general solution of the following differential equations.
