Form 2 Lesson 102 Action Oriented Task

This daily lesson plan is for an English class on health and holidays. The lesson focuses on writing dialogues about health problems. TEACHING AND LEARNING STRATEGIES

PRE-LESSON 1. Pupils recap important tips on holiday health that they learned in the previous lesson.
2. Pupils turn to Pulse 2 page 101 and look at the Writing section.
3. Pupils copy the questions in bold into their exercise books.
4. Pupils choose a different health problem from the text on page 100 and write their answers to the questions.
LESSON 5. Pupils read the Communication kit: Talking about health.
DEVELOPMENT 6. Pupils write a new dialogue of about 100 words about a health problem.
7. Pupils can use the dialogue between Nina and her pharmacist on the same page as a model and also the
expressions in the Communication kit to help them.
8. Pupils practice their dialogues in pairs and swap roles in both dialogues.
POST-LESSON 9. A few pairs act out their dialogue for the class.
