Luminous Mysteries
In the name + of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
Opening Intention
O Lord, I unite my heart with all the Saints in heaven and with all the Just on
earth; I unite with You, my Jesus, to praise Your holy Mother worthily and to praise
You in her and through her. I renounce all the distractions that may come to me
while I am praying this rosary.
O Lord, I offer You this rosary for the increase in vocations to the priesthood,
religious life and the permanent diaconate and for a strengthening of all current
vocations, lay or religious.
O Lord, I offer You this opening Creed to honor the faith You brought to Your
Apostles upon this earth and to ask You to permit me to share in that same faith.
Most Holy Trinity, I offer You this opening Our Father to adore You in Your
oneness and to acknowledge You as the first cause and the last end of all things.
O Heavenly Father, I offer You these three opening Hail Mary’s to thank You for
all the graces which You have given to Mary and which You have given to Your
followers through her intercession. O Jesus, may Your Mother Mary watch over and
protect all young men and women considering a vocational call to priestly or religious
life
Opening Prayers
I believe in God, the Father Almighty, creator of heaven and earth. I believe in Jesus
Christ, his only son, our Lord. He was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit,
and born of the Virgin Mary. He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died
and was buried. He descended to the dead. On the third day, he rose again. He
ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come
again to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Holy
Catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the
resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. Amen.
╬ Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name; Thy Kingdom come, Thy
will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and
forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead
us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.
Hail Mary, full of Grace, The Lord is with thee, blessed art thou amongst women,
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for
us, sinners, now, and at the hour of our death. Amen

The Fourth Luminous Mystery: The Transfiguration - Jesus strengthened the faith
of His Apostles by allowing His divinity to be momentarily perceived. He wished
them to gain a supernatural perspective on His forthcoming Passion and Death. Let
us offer this decade for all those who are being called as priests and religious that
they may have the grace to recognize God’s call in the midst of life and courageously
accept their call to pick up their cross and follow Him…
╬ Our Father…
"After six days Jesus took Peter, James, and John and led them up a high mountain

The Fifth Luminous Mystery: The Institution of the Holy Eucharist - The gift of the
Most Holy Eucharist is a mystery going beyond our ability to fully comprehend. Our
Lord’s abiding Presence in the Blessed Sacrament, the saving mystery of the Holy
Sacrifice of the Mass -- the world would suffer a great loss without these miracles.
Jesus gives Himself in the Holy Eucharist through the ministry of His priests. Let us
offer this decade for more priests for our diocese. May Our Lord call many more
men to share in His Priesthood and may they respond generously…
╬ Our Father…
"Jesus said to them, 'Amen, amen, I say to you, it was not Moses who gave the
bread from heaven; my Father gives you the true bread from heaven. For the bread
of God is that which comes down from heaven and gives life to the world.'"
(John 6:32-33)
Hail Mary…
"So they said to him, 'Sir, give us this bread always.' Jesus said to them "I am the
bread of life; whoever comes to me will never hunger, and whoever believes in me
will never thirst." (John 6:34-35)
Hail Mary…
"Amen, amen, I say to you, whoever believes has eternal life. I am the bread of life.
Your ancestors ate the manna in the desert, but they died; this is the bread that
comes down from heaven so that one may eat it and not die." (John 6:47-50)
Hail Mary…
"I am the living bread that came down from heaven; whoever eats this bread will live
forever and the bread that I will give is my flesh for the life of the world." (John 6:51)
Hail Mary…

"The Jews quarreled among themselves, saying, 'How can this man give us [his]
flesh to eat?'" (John 6:52)
Hail Mary…
"Jesus said to them, 'Amen, amen I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of
Man and drink his blood, you do not have life within you.'" (John 6:53)
Hail Mary…
"Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him on
the last day. For my flesh is true food, and my blood is true drink." (John 6:54-55)
Hail Mary…
"Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me and I in him. Just as the
living Father sent me and I have life because of the Father, so also the one who
feeds on me will have life because of me." (John 6:56-57)
Hail Mary…
"This is the bread that came down from heaven. Unlike your ancestors who ate and
still died, whoever eats this bread will live forever." (John 6:58)
Hail Mary…
"Then many of his disciples who were listening said, 'This saying is hard; who can
accept it?' As a result of this, many [of] his disciples returned to their former way of
life and no longer accompanied him. Jesus then said to the Twelve, 'Do you also
want to leave?' Simon Peter answered him, 'Master, to whom shall we go? You
have the words to eternal life.'" (John 6:60, 66-68)
