I) Describe Job Analysis purpose
The purpose of Job Analysis is to establish and document the ‘job

relatedness’ of employment procedures such as training, selection,
compensation and performance appraisal. Job Analysis can be used in
training or needs assessment to identify or develop training content and
equipment to be used in delivering the training. Job analysis serves four
primary purposes which is establish and document job-related
competencies, identify the job-relatedness of essential tasks and
competencies, establish the legal basis of assessment and selection
procedures and establish the basis for determining relative worth.

Job Title Production Engineer
A successful as a production engineer, you should be an

independent thinker and keen problem-solver. Outstanding
production engineers are able to diagnose problems, train
staff, and provide effective recommendations. A production
Job Purpose / Summary engineer also works closely with technicians and have
various duties, including installing and maintaining
equipment, managing budgets, ensuring deadlines are met,
diagnosing problems with processes and equipment,
performing repairs, designing new systems, supervising
team members and maintaining statistical records.
 Plan and coordinate production engineering

processes on daily basis to produce high quality
products.
 Develop operational strategies to achieve
production and financial objectives.
 Identify unsafe operations and practices and report
Duties and Responsibilities the same to Manager immediately.
 Perform engineering analysis to reduce downtime
and outages.
 Investigate problems, analyze root causes and
derive resolutions.
 Aid in budget preparation and monitor expenses and
profitability.
 Degree in Engineering (Master’s degree preferable).

 Relevant license may be required.
 Experience with CAD software.
Qualifications/ Requirements  Proficiency with MS Office.
