Minutes of Placement Cell meeting held on 27th October 2022 at 10.00 AM
Placement Officer and all the Department Faculty Placement Coordinators were present.
The following points were discussed in the meeting:
 Placement officer reviewed about the points which were discussed in the previous meeting held
on 20-10-2022.
 P.O insisted all the coordinators to make sure the LinkedIn profile creation with Premium
activation for all the students, if any one not signup with the Premium account, told them to
complete it once the internal examination gets over. Also plan of action & next level for taking
the above said process, Ms.Sahana Student of CSE department is requested for a session to
address the IInd year about the same.
 Placement officer is planning to address all the Ist year students on Monday 31-10-2022.
 Skillrack details related with all the IInd year data need to finalize before the end of this week.
 Placement officer asked all the coordinator to come up with a report of previous held meeting
allocated responsibilities to each and every one.
 Mr.Ramassamy AP/ECE is requested to submit alumni report for alumni meeting which held
on Induction day (22-7-2022).
 P.O told that TATA ELXSI drive is planned on next Friday (i.e) 4-11-2022.
 Placement officer asked to schedule training on the topics of Aptitude & Softskills for
deserving/nonplaced students on Monday, after their internal exams get over.
 All the NAAC related documents for the past academic year (2021-2022) such as collection of
offer letters, Training report, Internship with proof, consolidation of documents based on the
Best practices shown to the NAAC inspection committee.
 P.O insisted to all the coordinators to bring the training attendance/ Log book while coming to
the every week placement meeting.
 Placement officer told to all the coordinator to take a normal Photograph/Geotagged photos
 ICT Academy India Planning to give training for Mechanical department. The schedule may
offer 3 to 4 slots.
 Mrs.Shailaja FT/Coordinator is requested to take care of collect, Consolidate & submit the
overall training report.
 P.O asked all the department coordinator to collect their appointment order, Joining report &
ID card of corresponding passed out placed students who are working in various companies.
 Placement officer asked all the coordinator to ensure all the aptitude books are dispatched to
the III year students.
 On the Induction day, Cognizant Placed students had an interaction with the Chief Guest
Mr.Shriram Vembu-Associate Vice President-Cognizant. P.O asked Mr.Imran
CSE/Coordinator to submit a report for the same. Chief guest appreciated the following
students for their involvement in welcoming the Guest, Hospitality & preparation of thank you
card etc.,

o Ms.Shanmugalakshmi-IV CSE
o Ms.Swathi-IV CSE
o Mr.Vasantha Ganesh-IV CSE
 Placement officer insisted all the coordinators to get involved in all the activities of Students
council. Mr.KeerthiRaj/IoT Coordinator to take responsible for this Council which is
highlighted in the NAAC committee meeting.
 On 27th October, Cognizant announced the IIIrd Phase of selected students list, 6 students got
selected in this phase. 3 Students from ECE department & 3 Students from CSE department.
Earlier the Cognizant placed students count was 37. Now it is turned to 43 students got offered
in Cognizant.
 3 students have attended the final round interview for Kaar Technologies. The results are
awaited.
 On 26th October, Renault Nissan officially announced the final selected students for the pooled
campus drive held in MIT on 11-10-2022. The details of the results are furnished below,
Totally 9 students got offered. Totally 6 Students got offer from ECE & 3 students from EEE
department respectively. Placement officer told that, interview process need to checked for the
department of CSE & IT.
 P.O told that, CII Innovation is organizing a contest in association with Atal Incubation
Center, 4 teams from MIT got selected. The next level of selection is going to held on 28 th
October. Already 3 days Boot camp program was conducted for the EEE, ECE, CSE &
Robotics & Automation department.
 CIYI planning to conduct a trail of event called “Bonjour Pondicherry” (Intercollegiate
Cultural Festival), they were approached MIT for providing sponsors & Venue for conducting
the events like Mini Olympics, Moonlight walking for create awareness towards Cancer.
 It is planned to have discussion by next week with LSE followed by training for the II nd year
students need to be carried over.
 Placement officer asked to prepare placement proceedings with details of placement team in it.
Mr.Kumaran.K-ECE Coordinator is instructed to prepare the proceedings.
 Companies are in the pipeline is furnished below,

o Voltec
o Wipro
o Sutherland
o Eaton
o Avasoft
o American Megatrends etc.,
 P.O planning to address all the 3rd year placement student coordinator (a Student coordinator
from each department) today at 1.00PM in the placement cell.
