Assignment Instructions:
 The assignment is a group assignment; therefore, no individual assignment will be
accepted or assessed/marked.
 Ensure that the objectives of the workshop are clear (at least 3 solid objectives)
 You will prepare a PowerPoint presentation of 20 slides (excluding title page, references
& appendix), for your group’s 15-minute presentation. Manage your time.
 Use sub-headings on each slide. Do not place too much information on the slides. Present
the main ideas/points only, and then elaborate on these in your oral aspect of the
presentation.
 Ensure that your information is supported by literature/research. Use a minimum of 7
scholarly sources no older than 5-7 years. (Ensure you use a good mix. Journal entries,
books etc).
 Your presentation must end with a reference list. All sources cited must be included on
the reference list, and vice versa. You should refer the APA (7th Edition) Referencing
Style in completing this assignment.
 After you have completed your PowerPoint, have someone video-tape you making the
presentation. The video is to be created for viewing on YouTube (link required). Ensure
the link (URL) for your video is on the cover slide. Your facilitators will view your video
and grade your presentation.
 Each group member MUST introduce herself/himself and must present a part or an
element. This is NOT a voice-over; we MUST see each of you presenting during the
video as each person will be graded INDIVIDUALLY for speaking skills and quality of
delivery (see rubric-Speaking skills/Elocution).
 Do remember to be CREATIVE and use the technology wisely. It’s a presentation so try
to avoid reading from your power point. Make it more conversational.
 Assignment must be submitted to TURNITIN.
 Note as it is a group assignment each group will only submit one copy of the presentation
to TURNITIN. Your assigned group leader should be the one to complete this task and
share the similarity report with the group for adjustments accordingly, where applicable.
 Penalty for late submission is applicable (See Late Submission Policy on your course
page).
Guidelines:
 Select a group leader
 Conduct research
 Pay attention to assigned presentation time
 Refer to the rubric when completing your assignment
 You are asked to update us on the progress of your meetings by uploading at least five
minutes of your group meetings under your group in the forum. No group evaluation
instrument will be used so if you encounter any issues as a group (with group members),
speak up early so this can be resolved.
 The group leader ONLY is responsible for uploading the assignment to Turn-It-In
(should more than one group member attempt this, the similarity level would be very
high).
