Roles and Responsibilities
President
The President is responsible for making sure that all stakeholders are heard
and that something is done about their concerns regarding the program and
service offering. Complaints and constructive criticism about the program
are normally coursed through the Class President. The President also acts
as motivator and driving force towards class unity and camaraderie. He/She
is expected to play a leadership role for all class-related Social Activities,
including cultural celebrations and parties. He/She is responsible for
communicating the needs of the class to the Faculty/Administration at AIM.
Normally, the President will consolidate feedback and act as the chief go-
between the Program Administration and the Class.
Vice President
The Class Vice President assists the President in his/her
dealings with the Faculty/Administration at AIM. In cases
where the President is absent due to sickness or other
extenuating circumstances, the VP is there to take charge
and to act as interim leader in the President’s absence. The
VP also acts as an accountability partner for the President,
to ensure that both are not overlooking any blind spots and
that all stakeholders are heard from the class.
Secretary
The Secretary ensures that interactions between the
Class Officers and the Faculty/Administration are
properly documented. The Secretary furnishes copies
of surveys and other feedback forms from the Class.
Treasurer
The Class Treasurer’s function is the collection and proper
accounting of funds for the class. It is the Treasurer’s
responsibility to see to it that he/she is able to collect from each
of his/her classmates and that the funds are properly allocated for
official class functions. The Treasurer ensures that transparency
exists and that the class officers do not misappropriate any of the
funds that are collected in behalf of the class. The Treasurer is
the signatory for billings and payments done for class events
such as officially sanctioned celebrations and gatherings.
