father is a businessman. My mother is a housewife. I have three siblings. Two
brothers and one sister. My hobbies are cooking and reading books.
So far in my life till the age of 21, I had earned a school and a college degree. I
learned so many things like communication skills, programming languages,
cooking, and baking. I read so many different books. I traveled to two different
countries and explore them. I got admission at my favorite university and in my
favorite program BS Bioinformatics.
2. What are you passionate about?
I'm passionate about baking. I love the process of researching new recipes and
testing them out. I've been writing up my experiences with baking for the past
three years, and every year, I host a massive cookie swap around holiday time
with friends. I’m very detail-oriented, and love the scientific aspects of baking.
However, I’m also a very social person, and use my baking as a chance to get
together with friends and family.
3. What are some of your goals for the year? For your life?
I am a student. Currently, I am enrolled in the BS Bioinformatics program at
Comsats University Islamabad. My goal for the year 2022 is to increase my GPA so
that my degree ends with a good CGPA that helps in getting a good job. I also
want to learn some productive skills like web development so that I will earn my
pocket money while studying. As web development is part of my degree also so
along with financial benefits, I will gain practical knowledge on the subject. I will
get exposed to workplace discipline and get some learning experience about my
future job. I will not waste time and understand the importance of time
management.
My goal for life is to become a person who inspires others. My goals also consist
of making my parents proud of their daughter, a daughter that will give them a
more comfortable life, one that is not filled with such pain.My goals in life are
ultimately to achieve success in life. My goals are to also have happiness,
prosperity in every area in my life, and the freedom and peace within to be able
to carry out my goals.

3. What are your strengths and weaknesses?

My strengths are, I'm hard-working whatever work I do, I do it with a full heart. I
am a quick learner, I love learning new things and which help me to become a
better version of myself. I have a positive mindset which help me to stay positive
in stressful condition.
I am honest. I am friendly and helpful in nature. Also, I keep myself cool and calm
in any up and down situation. Most importantly, I am a keen listener.
My weakness are I am too sensitive and small things can hurt me and I'm such
overthinking person that I hate being this. I find public speaking intimidating and
have often struggled with presentations.

4. The biggest challenge, you faced so far in your life and how you come out
of that challenge?
The most significant challenge which I have faced would be taking online
university classes during Covid-19. My family faced financial problems due to loss
in bussiness, so at the moment my brother and I were sharing one computer in
which we both used to attend online classes . It was my first time taking online
classes which meant I had to adapt quickly but I was not able to use the computer
at full time so I would switch over from my computer to my phone to finish the
remaining of the courses. It impacted my grades significantly and fell behind
because I was used to learning the material and subject as the teacher teaches it
in front of us, yet this was not the case because the teachers were instead
uploading videos and notes for students to teach themselves.
Having to learn the material on my own made it more challenging because I did
not have access to the computer at all times so I had to master time-
management, meaning I had to teach myself and learn the material on my own
time while I had access to the computer. I started to take notes on the times I had
available with the computer, when my brother used it and for how long, and how
long the class sessions were. I set up the calendar with the times I was able to use
the computer and started to catch up on all my missing assignments. I began
getting ahead of my fellow classmates and the material continued to get easier as
time went by. I've developed such a good understanding on how to be so well
timemanable. I hated taking online classes because I was not used to it but once I
adapted to it and became strategies on how to use the computer when It was
most certainly available. It all became easier and I noticed being super organized
only benefited me and it helped me understand all the material at a faster and
easier pace because I was organized and used my time wisely.

5. Your two favorite books/documentary/motivational

stories/speech/movie. what impact that have make on your life?

My first favorite movie is “Dangal”. The impact it makes on my life was

that it teaches me lesson that Believing in yourself is the key to success. In
spite of all the training by her father and coach, Geetha Phogat struggles
hard to win the gold medal, during the final moments of the match. Her
self-confidence and preparedness, help her in making her lifelong dream
come true.

My second favorite movie is lunch box. The film illustrates that Don't be
too rude to anyone. Be polite. You don't know what another person is
going through. Irrfan was ignoring Nawazuddin Siddiqui in the movie earlier
but after knowing that Shaikh i.e. Nawazuddin is an orphan, Irrfan's
behavior changed towards him and they both started interacting with each
other. The impact this movie makes on my life is that now I always tried to
be polite with everyone. I tried to understand other personas problems and
deal with them accordingly.

Task 01
Choose a large project.
“Burj Dubai Project”
The Burj Dubai Project will be the tallest structure ever built by man; when
completed the tower will be more than 700 meters tall and more than 160
floors. The Burj Dubai Project is a multi-use development tower with a total
floor area of 460,000 square meters that includes residential, hotel,
commercial, office, entertainment, shopping, leisure, and parking facilities.

The early integration of aerodynamic shaping and wind engineering

considerations played a major role in the architectural massing and design
of this residential tower, where mitigating and taming the dynamic wind
effects was one of the most important design criteria.

Identify at least five phases to this project that could be treated as

projects within a project.
Burj Dubai Project is divided into many sub-projects to facilitate delivery of
specific work scope in shorter timeframes.
The sub-projects in Burj Dubai Construction Project are following:
• Burj Khalifa map designing project
• Burj Khalifa material selection project
• Burj khalifa structure construction project
• Burj khalifa wind tunnel testing project
• Burj khalifa interior designing project

Specifically state how each project meets the definition of a project, and
describe the product, service, or result of each project and why it is
temporary.
Each of the projects mentioned above meets the definition of a project as
they are temporary endeavors undertaken to create a unique product,
service, or result.
• Burj Khalifa map designing project gives us a map as a product on the basis
of which we construct the whole building.
• Burj Khalifa material selection project provides us with materials as a
product that are used to construct the building like cement, steel, wood,
electric wires, etc.
• Burj khalifa structure construction project includes architects, engineers,
labors with the help of which we construct building as product.
• Burj khalifa wind tunnel testing project examine the effects the wind
would have on the tower and its occupants. This project provides us with a
service of safety.
• Burj khalifa interior designing project features glass, stainless steel and
polished dark stones, together with silver travertine flooring, Venetian
stucco walls, handmade rugs and stone flooring. The interior designing of
Burj Khalifa enhance the interior of a building and provides healthier and
more aesthetically pleasing environment to the people as a result.

All these projects are considered temporary because they have start and
end. All these projects ends on the completion of Construction of Burj
Dubai.These projects are never ongoing.

Moreover, provide detail of that organization, in which your selected

project is going on. Search for the selected organization’s structure and
come up with a drawing of its organizational chart and tell which
organization structure is that?
Burj khalifa project was constructed by Samsung C&T from South Korea,
which also did work on the Petronas Twin Towers and Taipei 101. Samsung
C&T built the tower in a joint venture with BESIX from Belgium
and Arabtec from the UAE.
The organization structure is FUNCTIONAL ORGANIZATION Structure.
