We have been reading the short story, ‘A Gorilla in the Guest Room’ by Roald Dahl. Now it is time to
watch some videos, documentaries on the author and the rare species of gorillas. The story revolves
around taking an initiative in saving the endangered species of the animal and the process that the
author goes through to achieve it. With the following worksheets, you need to read and understand
the story once again. Reinforcement will help you write your assignments. We also need to practice
our grammar skills. So this is what you have in store this week.

1. English language worksheet on Prepositions

2. English literature- Short story- A Gorilla in the Guest Room pages 73-77 (video links given)
3. English literature- Short story- A Gorilla in the Guest Room pages 78-82 (video links given)
4. English literature-Short Story- A Gorilla in the Guest Room pages 83-89 (video links given)

It is important to write all the answers in the notebook and submit according to the submission

Methods of Constructing Index Numbers:

1. Simple/Unweighted Index Numbers: An unweighted index number is constructed when all items like
food, clothing, housing, transport, etc., have equal importance.

There are two methods of constructing simple index numbers:

(a) Simple Aggregative Method: Refer the following videos for the same.

Weighted Index Numbers: In this method, appropriate weights are assigned to all items in such a manner that
the weight of each item reflects its relative importance. These weights are of two types - Quantity weights and
Value weights. Quantity weights are used in weighted aggregative method while value weights are used in
weighted average price relative method.

Weighted index Numbers can be calculated by two methods:

(a) Weighted Aggregative Method

(b) Weighted Average Price Relative Method
