to the questions above.

3. Role-Play Activity. The following questions are likely to be asked during job interviews in the
architectural construction profession.

Select 7 questions from the list below. You will be asked to interact with a classmate working with
those questions.

1. Tell me about the most challenging architectural project that you have been involved with.
2. Describe the most challenging written technical report or presentation that you have had to
complete.
3. What appeals to you about working for our company?
4. Why did you apply for this particular job?
5. Why did you select architecture as your field or major?
6. What on-site work is most challenging for you?
7. Describe an experience with a difficult client. How did you handle the situation?
8. Tell me about your greatest success in using logic to solve an architectural problem.
9. Give me an example of a time when you applied your ability to use analytical techniques to
define problems or design solutions.
10. What checks and balances do you use to make sure that you don't make mistakes?
11. What architectural skills have you developed or improved upon during the past year?
12. Which software packages are you familiar with? What is the most interesting thing you know how
to do with one of these packages?
13. Describe an occasion when you worked on a team and something did not go well. How did you
respond?
14. What strengths make you a good architect?
15. Describe a time when you received criticism from a supervisor or professor. How did you
respond?
16. Describe your ideal boss.
17. What will be the biggest challenge for you with this position?
18. Why are you currently unemployed?
19. What are your salary expectations?

21. Give me an example of how you applied your problem solving skills to a design challenge.
