Activity #1
Activity #1
BSME- 2A
1. Enumerate 5 Application Software that you often used and explain its uses in your daily lives
specially as a student.
Microsoft Word – As a student’s we can design unique, creative learning techniques by using
Microsoft Word. We can transmit instructional materials and practice systematically at school
and university with the aid of the Microsoft Word suite faster and with higher quality.
Microsoft excel - Excel is used for many daily chores, including budgeting and goal setting,
calculating our monthly expenses, helping me to complete our course work, and many other
activities that most people perform informally rather than by using straightforward tools that
offer concrete shapes.
Web Browser – As a student’s we can use the internet to look for all their available online
assignments, quizzes, presentations, and other study-related items. Teachers as well as
students use the internet for assistance. We can conduct our study via the internet.
Zoom - Zoom is a video conferencing technology that enables to go to online classes in real-
time over a personal computer, laptop, or mobile device, with or without video. To conduct
classes online, our instructors can set up Zoom sessions. They can also record the meetings so
that we can access them afterwards.
Google Classroom - Direct completion of tasks and assessments as students is possible through
Classroom, and our work is also stored to Drive. We can find extra resources we might require
as well as access any missed assignments from absences. Time is greatly saved in a classroom.
2. Enumerate 5 Hardware components that you consider as most important parts of computer.
Explain why it is important specifically now during blended learning.
CPU - The CPU, which houses all the circuitry required to process input, store data, and output
results, is the brain of a computer. The CPU is constantly executing computer programs that
give it instructions on which data to process and in what order. We couldn't use a computer to
run programs without a CPU.
Memory - Memory serves as the computer's electrical storage facility for the instructions and
data that it needs to access fast. Information is kept there for quick access. A computer's
memory is one of its fundamental components since without it, a computer would not be able
to operate as intended.
Keyboard - Using a keyboard, you can input letters, words, and numbers into your computer.
When you type, you press each key on the keyboard separately. On the right side of the
keyboard, you can also find the number keys that run across the top of the keyboard.
Monitor - A monitor is necessary to use a desktop computer. The monitor allowed you to view
the operating system's graphical user interface (GUI) and software programs, including
games, document editors, and web browsers.
Mouse - You can use a mouse to point at things on the screen. You can instruct the computer
to perform an action on an object by pointing at it.
