Creation Kit

This is a huge Embroidery and Stitching Creator that contains 18 Photoshop


actions and 6 bonus actions to help you with the creation process. This pack will allow you
to create realistic embroidery, sewing and stitching effects out of any text, shape, raster.
The embroidery effects can easily be modified and customized after the action is
ended. You can pick the color, fabric texture(leather, jeans, linen). And you can use one of the
+40 stitch brushes included in this pack.
I have also added a PSD bonus file containing a vector needle that you can use in
your designs. The PSD also includes some samples made with the actions.
The end result has the layers intact so that you can customize and edit the effect as
you will see in the customization section.

This package contains 1 ATN file (Photoshop action), 1 ABR (Photoshop brush), 1
PAT (Photoshop pattern), 1 PSD file and this PDF Help file.

How to use this pack

1. Install the files found in the package(ABR and PAT). There are several options to
install the file and one of them is going to Photoshop File>Open and select the file to load it.
You have to install these files first otherwise the action won't work properly.

2. Install the EMBROIDERY-by-PSDDUDE.atn Photoshop action file that is the


main file of this pack.
3. Open a new PSD file, add your text, shape, graphics in a new layer and remove
the background layer if there is one. You have to have only one layer.
4. Make sure that the Brush Tool has the Normal mode selected and the opacity
100%
5. Choose the one of the 18 actions
6. Click Play and wait the result.

User Customization
The action stops while is being played so that you can edit different settings like layer
styles, stitch type, size and color, etc. Many of these settings can be changed and customized
after the action is ended so the best thing is to click enter to resume play.
The first 18 actions are the embroidery actions, the ones shown in the preview.
Some of these actions are labeled “for thin text or shape” meaning that you can use them
for thin font type, thin shapes like the ones presented in the preview.
If you do not obtain a good result that means you have to choose another action for
your type of shape/text or you might have to make small adjustments.
There are two main customization that you can make:
1. Change the color of the stitch/embroidery; for that you have to look for the Color
Overlay style and simply change the color. If there is not a Color Overlay you
can add one yourself. Sometimes the color is made up two or three layers so
you might have to change both layer styles.
2. Change the fabric texture. There are 3 types of fabric patterns include: leather,
jeans and linen.
- To change the color of the linen pattern simply add a Color Overlay, pick a
color and set Multiply as blend mode.
- To change the color of the leather and jeans pattern simply add a Color

Overlay, pick a color and set Color as blend mode.


The other 6 actions are bonus actions that will help you create different effects. For
example the “create canvas from shape” action, creates a linen canvas from any shape/text
you want.
You can also use one of the +40 embroidery and stitch brushes to add different
sewing effects. The “stitch” layer has a Bevel and Emboss and a Drop Shadow layer styles,
so you either use the brush inside that layer or copy the layer styles in the new layer.
The pack also includes the needle-vector.psd PSD file that includes a vector needle
ans also some sample effects. The needle is inside a smart object so open the object to edit
the needle shape.
