The control system of the R200 is decentralized. The central control is located on the first printing
unit and comprises the central computer (ZST) and the real time computer (RTR). The printing unit
control units (DWR) are on the printing unit and each contains a printing unit computer. There is an
additional operation computer on the delivery (BDT). This computer, however, has no safety
relevant functions.

4.2 Control components

Central control (-A330): Real time computer

Tasks of the Real time computer

Control

• Feeder coupling control

• Front lay lock control
• Suction and blast air control
• Activation of the offset functions Impression
On/Off and Damping roller On/Off at exact
angles
• Monitoring possible sheet travel or
production – release pile control for sheet
travel
• Activation of the preset dry powdering
device at an exact angle during operation
• Engagement/disengagement of the ink
ductor roller at an exact angle, if preselected
• Monitoring the track limits and end of
position – a message is sent to the ZST to
stop the drive when a given position has
been reached
• Transfer of all changes of switch statuses of
I/O signals to the ZST and operation
computer

Sheet travel monitoring

• Control and evaluation of the electrical

double sheet detection
• Monitoring sheet arrival
• Sheet counter that reports the counted
values for waste and good sheets to the
operation computer
• Transfer of the transmission angle for A-
and B-sides to the ZST for the trend display
and sheet arrival
• Monitoring the side pulling guides (if
preselected) – in the event of an error
message to the ZST
• Monitoring missing sheet sensors - in the
event of an error message to the ZST
• Overrun sheets

Error monitoring

• Monitoring main drive (2. channel)

• Speed monitoring
• Monitoring direction of rotation
