Application in Aeronautic, medical and automobile Industry and a study of the various factors that need to be altered for their altered application in various industries.
Manufacturing Systems Design & Simulation Use of simulation Software (Promodel) in the design and analysis of a manufacturing system and conducted various permutations and combinations to analyse the system efficiency and made the required changes to the system with a few more criteria in mind to get the maximum efficiency or a better efficient system. Operation Research: Used techniques of Project planning like Critical Path Method and Gantt chart and Resource Profiling to plan and analyse a project with more than 45 variable entities. PLC: The purpose of this assignment is to programme a PLC to automate a Bytronic Associated Industrial Controlled Trainer (ICT). The PLC used in this assignment is the Allen Bradley MicroLogix 1000PLC. The main tasks of the assignment were as follows. 1. Analyse the mechanical system, sensor and the actuators in the ICT. 2. Plan and establish the control requirements 3. Use of Grafcet to design the PLC 4. Implementation of the programme in Ladder logic using the RSLogix 500 Software SCADA: This project was to develop in the previously developed PLC programme; using the SCADA Software we provided a computerised interface to control the automated system that had been developed using the PLC. The main objective was to provide maximum control on the automated system using the SCADA Interface.
Aerospace Assemblies at AirBus Broughton UK: Analysis of the 5axis CNC machine LVER (Low Voltage Electromagnet Riveter) used in the manufacture of the A380 wing, and researched the industry for any automated and numerically controlled machines that that could be used in a more cost effective and efficient manner, I Suggested Unguided Articulated Robots, Robotic Trailing Edge Flap Drilling System and Automated cells rivet airliner skin panels as possible replacements for the same after complete analysis of the quality of finished pro duct, reliability, cost efficiency and ease of installation.
Dissertation: This was a case study on the implementation approach of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) in three different manufacturing organizations. Here the emphasis was on the its implementation approach, difficulties in its implementation and cost of implementing TPM. I also studied the organization structure required for TPM implementation and shows that how the organization structure affects the results of TPM. There was research done on a pipe manufacturing firm in India, Land Rover of UK and a manufacturing form of
China, This gave me the diversity to analyse the different types of methods followed in different cultures and the results were analysed to check for the range of growth in each country.
