CONCLUDING REMARKS
The truss under consideration was a Howe truss, Therefore, the forces in diagonal members were found
to be compressive and that in verticle members were Tensile axial forces. Also, member forces in all
the horizontal members were also Tensile axial forces. Moreover, it was found that all diagonal
members satisfied the “Pure Compression Condition” and all the horizontal members and verticle
members other than member 19 and 31 (which were zero force members) satisfied the condition of
“member under reversal stresses”.
