A. Give and explain 3 characteristics of OBE.
1. It is student centered; Putting a focus on Student Learning Outcomes(SLO), it
prioritizes the needs of the students. It is a method for evaluating and demonstrating
a learner's mastery of a specific skill.
2. It is faculty-driven; It promotes faculty ownership of the classroom, evaluation of
program results, and student engagement. Where staff members are enthusiastic and
motivated, and where faculty members are dedicated to serving students. Instead of
lecturing, teachers guide students through the learning process and motivate them to
use the acquired knowledge and skills.
3. It is meaningful; It offers information to help teachers make accurate and ongoing
improvements to their lesson plans and assessment procedures. Study aids and group
projects are just two of the strategies teachers can employ to facilitate their
students' learning. Teachers are there to guide and aid their charges in
understanding the subject matter in any way required.
