5. On September 23, 2022, after removing the names of candidates who have not paid fees before the deadline (i.e. September 20,
2022), another iteration (Iteration-II) of programme assignment will be done and some of the candidates may slide up to their
higher preference. You should check your latest assignment after Iteration-II on September 23, 2022. Similarly, you may visit
https://www.bitsadmission.com/fdmain.aspx#Impdates for more details on subsequent iterations. Please note that whenever
you are admitted to an academic first degree programme at BITS, you are kept on a waiting list for programmes of your higher
preferences, if you have not opted out of those programmes. Until all admissions for First Semester 2022-2023 are completed,
any vacancy in any programme caused by non-acceptance of the offers will be filled by offering the vacant seat to the next
candidate in the order of merit. This process is called ‘Sliding-Up’. According to the Institute rules, your acceptance of the
admission offer implies that you will be automatically considered for sliding up to programme of higher preference as indicated
in your application form, unless you have specifically opted out of all higher preferences while paying the fees.

6. INSTRUCTIONS REGARDING PAYMENT OF FEES, REFUND AND FORFEITURE OF FEES:

While exercising the provision of withdrawal of your admission and availing refund of your fees, please note that at the time of
admission, you are required to submit an undertaking that you have not taken admission in any other Institution and that you
will inform BITS Pilani as soon as you receive an offer of admission from another Institute and choose to accept that offer.
Please note that it is imperative that you inform the Institute promptly, and withdraw immediately on taking admission in
another Institute. The fee refund policy against withdrawal request is presented below.
a) If a candidate is offered admission to any programme of his/her preference as specified in the application form, he/she has to pay
in advance the requisite fees of Rs. 2,82,400/- (Admission fee of Rs. 50,900/- + one semester tuition fee of Rs. 2,31,500) within
the deadline as specified under point no. 1 above.
b) If a candidate, who is offered admission, accepts the offer by remitting the above fees but withdraws his or her application by
October 3, 2022 (through an online withdrawal process, the details of which will be available on the website in due course of
time), his/her admission will stand canceled, and the total fees paid by the candidate will be refunded to him/her by October 22,
2022.
c) If a candidate accepts the admission offer by remitting required fees but fails to complete all admissions related formalities on
Oct 16, 2022, his/her admission will be cancelled and the entire fees paid by the candidate will be refunded to him/her in due
course of time as mentioned under item no. (g).
d) If a candidate accepts the admission offer by remitting required fees but withdraws his/her admission/application by Oct 31, 2022,
his/her admission will be cancelled and the total amount of fee paid by the candidate will be refunded to him/her after deducting
the hostel fee (pro-rated i.e. proportional to the stay on Campus) plus actual expenses towards mess and electricity usage in due
course of time as mentioned under item no. (g).
e) In case a candidate gets an offer from another Institution during November 01 to December 31, 2022 and decides to accept the
same, request for withdrawal from BITS Pilani must be accompanied by copy of an admission offer from another Institution to
which the candidate is seeking to move, and such an offer must carry a date which is later than October 31, 2022. Further, the
application for withdrawal must be made before the date on which the candidate is to report to that Institution. Only after the
Institute is satisfied with the genuineness of the case, refund of fees will be made to the candidates after deducting Rs. 1000 as
processing fee along with pro-rated hostel fee plus actual expenses towards mess and electricity usage.
f) Any student withdrawing from BITS Pilani after October 31, 2022 without giving proof of admission in another Institution (as
mentioned above) will forfeit the entire fees paid at the time of admission except caution deposit.
g) If a candidate accepts the admission offer but withdraws after December 31, 2022, he/she will forfeit 100% of the total fees paid
at the time of admission except caution deposit.
h) Refund requests received before October 16, 2022 will be completed within the next 10 days i.e. by October 26, 2022, and all
other applicable refunds will be completed within 30 days from December 31, 2022.
Refund request will be accepted only through an online withdrawal portal at the admission website.

7. IMPORTANT NOTE

After the payment of requisite fees, the candidate has following two options:

Freeze: A candidate once offered admission to a particular programme, after an admission iteration, can choose the “Freeze” option
online using his/her login credentials. If chosen, the currently allotted programme would be freezed, and the candidate is considered
to opt out of consideration for all other programmes of higher preferences (as given in the application form). This option is to be
exercised very carefully while making the payment of nominal fees (INR 10/-) and cannot be reversed under any conditions. To be
abundantly clear, once a candidate has opted out of programmes of all higher preferences (i.e. have chosen the “Freeze” option),
he/she will not be considered for those programmes in any of the further iterations. Therefore, such candidates should exercise this
option only after mature consideration.

Freeze the campus (i.e. slide up in the campus of currently allotted programme): A candidate once offered admission to a
programme in a particular campus, can freeze the campus. With this, the candidate can slide up in further iterations in the campus
freezed, and is considered to opt out of all other higher preferences in other campuses. This decision cannot be reversed under any
circumstances. To be more clear about this option, once the candidate opts for this option then the higher preferences of other
campuses of BITS Pilani will be removed and only the higher preferences of the same campus (in which he/she got the admission
while exercising this option) will be considered for the subsequent iterations. While opting for this option the candidate has to pay a
nominal fee (INR 11/-).

If the candidate does not choose any of the above options, then by default, he/she will be considered for all the higher
preferences (as given in his/her application form) in the subsequent iterations.

8. REPORTING AT BITS

Candidates selected for admission in Integrated first degree programmes (including B. Pharm.) at Indian Campuses of BITS Pilani
have to complete all admissions related formalities on October 16, 2022 (9:00 AM to 2:00 PM). Candidates can reach to the
respective Campus one day before the reporting date to take possession of the hostel, etc. The details will be communicated to you
through your registered email id.

For completion of all your admissions related formalities, on the day of reporting, you will be required to get the following
documents verified in original. Please bring two sets of self-attested photocopies of all the following documents:
· Mark sheet of Senior School Certificate Examination (XII Standard) under 10+2 School System or its equivalent issued by the
Board/University.
· Senior School/XII Pass Certificate Issued by the Board.

Please note that until physical verification of documents, your admission at BITS Pilani is provisional. The provisional offer will be
confirmed after fulfilling the following conditions. If the information given by you are found incorrect, your admission will be
canceled at any stage. Please also refer to BITS admissions website for more details:
(i) Verification for the correctness of information you have provided in the application form, academic records including your 10+2
Marks;
(ii) Meeting the eligibility requirements of Grade 12 as given below;

(a) You have passed the 12th examination or its equivalent in the year 2021 or 2022.
(b) You have obtained a minimum of aggregate 75% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects in 12th year
examination, with at least 60% marks in each of the Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics subjects. Please note that
PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics) marks obtained in the 12th year only shall be considered for the offer allotment
and 11th year marks shall not be considered in your allotment even if your board includes the 11th year marks in the
mark sheet.
Further, this is subject to the condition that the student should have taken all the required subjects to pass the exam in one
sitting. If you have taken improvement exam in selected subjects, then those marks should not be included in calculating
the aggregate percentage to meet the above requirement. The acceptance of admission/waitlist offer (if any) by the
candidate would mean that the candidate confirms that he/she meets all the eligibility criteria and he/she has submitted
his/her 10+2 marks correctly.

will not change any merit order of the candidate. However, if the candidate fails to show up for the interview, his/her
admission will automatically be cancelled.
