Severe Pneumonia
Cough for 2 days
Fast breathing- 55 bpm Chest indrawing Stridor
Treatment:
Give nebulized adrenaline and prednisone
o Add 1 ml of 1:1000 adrenaline (one vial) to 1 ml of saline and administer using a nebulizer. o Always use oxygen at flow-rate of 6 - 8 litres. o Repeat every 15 minutes, until the child is transferred (or the stridor disappears) Give first dose of 1.75ml ceftriaxone IM o Dilute 250 mg vial with 1 ml of sterile water, or 500 mg with 2 ml sterile water (250 mg per ml). o Give the injection in the upper thigh, not the buttocks. Keep child warm, and refer URGENTLY

<11.5cm Very Low weight
Treatment:
Give 5ml amoxicillin for 5 days
Give dose of 100, 000 IU Vitamin A Provide RUTF 2 ½ sachet per day or multivitamin syrup 5ml once daily Follow up in 7 days
