DEFINITIONS
Employee Satisfaction: Is to extent to which employees are happy or content with their job and work
environment.
Employee Turnover: The rotation of employees around the labor market. It also refers to the rate at
which employee leaves an organizations and are replaced by new employees.
Employee Satisfaction Survey: A method of obtaining candid opinion of employees by giving them an
opportunity to anonymously answer queries raised in a questionnaire.
Taskforce Teams: Temporary group of staff formed to carry out a specific mission or project that
requires a multidisplinary approach representing different department/unit.

1. PURPOSE
To serve as a guidance for the RHS to review the employee satisfaction.
2. SCOPE
This document is applicable to all healthcare institutes of RHS i.e. IIDH, MHH, RIH and PRH.
3. POLICY
It is the policy of RHS to maintain an employee satisfaction program using the employee
satisfaction survey.
4. PROCEDURE
4.1 The tool used to measure employee overall satisfaction is employees satisfaction
questionnaire, which shall be made available in English language either manual or electronically.
4.2 The survey shall be given to employees who are working in healthcare sector in RHS.
4.3 The survey shall be conducted yearly to all employees excluding those less than one
year.

5 RESPONSIBILITIES
5.1 The COOs, DMS, head of department in collaboration with HDS shall:
5.1.1 Make sure that the survey questionnaire/envelops/pens are made available for selected
sample to fill.
5.1.2 Present and discuss the survey findings report to appropriate committee such as
Hospital Board, Quality Management Committee or departmental meeting to ensure the
appropriate action plan of improvements are made.
5.1.3 Raise the awareness of staff about importance of filling the survey.
5.1.4 Train group of staff, if needed, on methods of disseminated and collected the survey.
5.1.5 Monitored and follow up the implementation of the action plan and recommendation
based on the employee satisfaction survey.
5.1.6 Provide a copy of employee satisfaction findings report with action plan HOD.
5.2.1 Ensure that the survey questionnaire is made available for selected sample to fill.
5.2.2 Distribute and collect the employee satisfaction survey questionnaire.
5.3.1 Enter all the received employee satisfaction survey questionnaires from all department.
5.3.2 Send the enter data to HDS.
