While use Auto mapping the variable names must be the same as XML tag name

11. How to suppress tags when there is an empty tag or the vale is zero or blank?

By Default, Design manager adds all mapped tags in the output. You can suppress tags from the
output when there is empty tag or zero or null values

In the Xml AutoMap dialog box Select a tag from XML hierarchy tree.

Suppress a specific tag from the output – Select Suppress tag on missing value check box

Suppress all tags from the output- Select All

Basic Automated table
Automated table with sections
Automated table with levels
Basic Automated table with Automated column
User table
68. What is the difference between “Table with section” and “Table with Levels”?

Table with section does not have the table with levels.
Table with levels it’s have both table with section and table with levels.

66 Difference between user table and table with levels

In user table we can do automated column

In table with levels we cannot do automated column

69. What is the difference between the” late rule” and “End of the customer”?

70. What is table sort Key?

When we will use table sort to customize the order of the tables you must create a table sort key
variable that indicates the order in which table should appear.

The table sort key variable must be an array integer variable

After creating table sort key variable, we need to map in the data file. Each element in the data file is
associated with an index. The index specifies the order in which table appear in the data file.

Every element in the array specifies the placement of the table. Placement can vary from every
customer.

71. What are the rows types?

72. What is divider row?
73. What are the row repeat methods?

74. What is serpentine row?

It is a unique type of table row that repeats group of cells across the row rather than placing a
variable in a row twice.

75. How do we define levels to a row?

76. What is widows/orphan?
77. How to search a variable in designer?

78. What is campaign and types of Campaigns?

Campaign is a container which holds the marketing materials and to avoid the white space in the
customer output.

Filler Campaign:

Filler campaigns are campaign that are allowed to be removed from the customer output if there is
not enough space to fit for it.

A Campaign is considered as filler campaign the campaign is set to “Do not create page for this
campaign” from the Campaign driven pages’ dropdown list on the targeting tab.
These filler campaign is always selected at the last and moved to end of the priority list regardless of
the priority settings you apply at the application level.

79. How can we count the number of messages inserted into an application?

Using Message Count function count the number of campaign messages that are inserted into the
application.

Message Count(Message Type, Count type)

80. What are the types of messages?

85. What is the switch used to log the different data into Message file?
86. What is the switch used to stop the execution when warnings encountered?
87. Elaborate on objects version control?
88. What is the limitation of placeholder frame using on a page?
1) Only one placeholder frame per page
2) The contents of this frame cannot split and flow to another page
3) This frame cannot be placed into table cell.
89. How to include a specified pdf pass through page?
90. Elaborate the embedded object?
91. Difference between text message and Graphic Message

Text message does not require message template

Graphic message requires Message template

92. How do we get multiple copies for the single customer?

IF(1=1) THEN
INCLUDE 3
93. Can we place messages into content flow frame?

Yes we can place messages into content flow frame by selecting the option “Messages can be
placed into unused area at bottom of the frame in frame properties
89 Difference between document message and campaign message?
90 Difference between Message frame and content frame?

Message Frame:

Message Frame can accept only messages and message content. Generally you will use this frame
for required messages that must be included in the customer output.

Content Flow Frame:

Content flow frame can accept flowing content from different objects.Generally you will use this frame to
allow optional messages to fill white space.
91) Types of rules

1) Unnamed rule ( apply rule with logic with single object)

2) Named rule ( Create a reusable rule with logic and apply multiple objects)
3) Priority rule(Create a rule to control the priority order in which compaigns are selected in the
customer output. These types or rule only used in compaigns.

92) How to send campaigns to specific list of customer?

If you want to send campaigns to specific list of customers for that we need to create a reference file
and specify the list of customers who will receives the campaign.

From the Campaign property panel select Targeting tab in that select the check box “Send to customer
listed in the reference file” then select the reference file which you have created.

3) Changes have been made to existing campaigns

99) when will you create a document package?

1) New messages have been added to the existing document

2) Changes have been made into existing documents

102) Envelope Banner page:

Envelope banner page is a sub customer level banner page that can be placed after a specific number of
pages.
They can be used to split the customer document into multiple envelopes.

For ex: If you include nine pages per envelope but your customer has 12 pages, you can create an
envelope banner page

103)What is meant by Last flow page and its types?

If your design includes a text box or table that must always appear at the end of the document after all
pages have flowed, you must place it in a special type of page called “Last Flow page”

Last Flow page contains the two different types

1) Last flow page in document (if flows): The page is included in the document only if there is
enough flow to warrant it use. If no content flows to it, the page (Contains the static content) do
not appear in the output.

2) Last flow page (even if no flows): This page is always including in the document, regardless of
whether the content flows to it. If no content flows to the page white space might include in the
document.

104) What is the drawback of using last flow page?

Last flow pages are designed for a specific use in your design. It will have some limitation on the below

1) We cannot use section/paragraph in last flow page

2) We can include only one last flow page per document. If we include multiple pages specified as
last flow pages in the document only the first page is used.
